SACYL appoints 630 nursing auxiliary care technicians
Por FactBox Admin

The Regional Health Management (SACYL) has appointed permanent statutory personnel to 630 positions in the category of Nursing Auxiliary Care Technician, with the assignment of the corresponding destination in the specialized care and healthcare managements of Castilla y León. The decision is formalized through the Resolution of September 24, 2026, of the General Directorate of Personnel and Professional Development, under the Department of Health and Social Welfare. The text is published in the Official Gazette of Castilla y León no. 190, of September 30, 2026, with the official reference BOCYL-D-30092026-190-5.
The appointment culminates the selection process convened through Order SAN/966/2023, of July 24, for access to the status of permanent statutory personnel in this category of the Health Service of Castilla y León. Order SAN/157/2026, of February 18, approved the list of candidates who passed the process and offered the vacancies, as published by the gazette on February 25.
Of the 734 candidates who passed the selection process, 104 did not provide the required supporting documentation specified in base 10.3 of Order SAN/966/2023 and in the second point of Order SAN/157/2026, and therefore cannot be appointed as permanent statutory personnel. The remaining 630 did provide documentary evidence of compliance with the requirements of the call, leading to the appointment and the assignment of destination detailed in the annex of the resolution.
Destinations in seven managements and two access shifts
The appointments are distributed among the following managements and centers:
- Specialized Care Management of Valladolid West: Río Hortega University Hospital.
- Specialized Care Management of Valladolid East: University Clinical Hospital of Valladolid.
- Specialized Care Management of Salamanca: Salamanca Healthcare Complex.
- Specialized Care Management of Burgos: Burgos Healthcare Complex.
- Specialized Care Management of León: León Healthcare Complex.
- Healthcare Management of Ávila: Ávila Healthcare Complex.
- Specialized Care Management of Aranda de Duero: Santos Reyes Hospital.
The list is ordered by sequence number and distinguishes the access shift: the letter L corresponds to the open shift and the letter D to the disability reserve shift. The first appointment on the list is Alfonso Rodríguez Gallego, assigned to the Río Hortega University Hospital in Valladolid, and the last, number 630, is Alba González Sobrado, assigned to the Salamanca Healthcare Complex.
One month to take possession of the destination
The second point of the resolution sets a period of one month, counted from the day following its publication, for the appointed candidates to take office in the management unit to which the awarded position is assigned. Those who already hold the status of permanent statutory personnel in the category subject to the call for applications must previously submit a resignation from their previous appointment, duly accepted by the corresponding health service.
Once this period has elapsed without taking office, the interested parties shall forfeit the rights derived from their participation in the selection process, except in cases of force majeure duly accredited and assessed by the body competent for the appointment. During the act of taking office, they must also make the declaration of incompatibilities provided for in article 31.3 of Decree 227/1997, of November 20, and take an oath or promise to abide by the Constitution, the Statute of Autonomy, and the laws, in accordance with article 50 of Law 2/2007, of March 7.
Legal basis and appeal process
The resolution is issued under article 32.2 of Law 2/2007, of the Legal Statute of the Statutory Personnel of the Health Service of Castilla y León, and in application of the delegation of powers from the Counselor of Health to the head of the General Directorate of Personnel and Professional Development established by Order SAN/1705/2007, of October 10. The document was signed in Valladolid on September 24, 2026, by the Director General of Personnel and Professional Development, Sonsoles García Rodríguez.
This act exhausts the administrative route. A contentious-administrative appeal may be filed against it within two months from the day following its publication, in accordance with Law 29/1998, of July 13, and, as a prior and optional step, a request for reversal (recurso de reposición) before the body that issued it within one month, according to Law 39/2015, of October 1.
The publication consolidates more than six hundred auxiliary care professionals into the permanent staff and reinforces the stable coverage of the hospitals and healthcare complexes of the Community. For the candidates included in the list, the one-month period to take office marks the definitive step toward a permanent destination in SACYL.
