The Public Utilities Commission approves the water management service tariffs of SIA RŪPE

The Public Utilities Commission has approved the water management service tariffs for SIA “RŪPE” with Decision No. 75. The decision was published in Latvijas Vēstnesis on September 30, 2026, in issue No. 188 (OP 2026/188), under section “INSTITUTIONS”, point 7, titled “On the water management service tariffs of SIA “RŪPE””. With this publication, the tariff decision has been officially announced and is available to every user in the respective service area.

The approval of the tariffs is another decision by the Public Utilities Commission in the field of public utility regulation: the regulator evaluates the draft tariffs submitted by the service provider and, by decision, determines the tariffs that the operator applies to its customers. Decision number No. 75 is part of a consecutive series of 2026 decisions regarding water management and thermal energy tariffs.

In issue No. 188 of Latvijas Vēstnesis dated September 30, 2026, the decision is included in the official announcements section under the institutions category. • Decision No. 66 – on the water management service tariffs of SIA “Balvu Namsaimnieks” (August 31, 2026, No. 166);
• Decision No. 67 – on the water management service tariffs of the municipal limited liability company “Valgums-S” (August 31, 2026, No. 166);
• Decision No. 74 – on the thermal energy supply service tariffs of Adven Latvia SIA (September 16, 2026, No. 178).

This sequence shows that tariff reviews occur continuously and each decision is published separately with its own number and official reference.

What this means for users

Water management tariffs are a direct monthly expense factor for households and businesses in the SIA “RŪPE” service area. Since tariffs are determined by the regulator, rather than unilaterally by the service provider, Decision No. 75 is the document with which a user can verify the justification of the applied fee.

Users who wish to verify their bills must compare the rates shown in the settlements with the tariff structure specified in Decision No. 75. In case of questions regarding the applied tariff, one should first contact the service provider SIA “RŪPE”, and in case of a dispute – the regulator, the Public Utilities Commission.
