Sabiñánigo provisionally approves six tax ordinances for the 2027 fiscal year
Por FactBox Admin

The Sabiñánigo City Council has provisionally approved the modification of six tax ordinances that will govern the 2027 fiscal year. The agreement was adopted by the Municipal Plenary in an ordinary session held on October 29, 2026, and is published as an edict in the Official Gazette of the Province of Huesca number 212, corresponding to Thursday, November 5, 2026, with the official reference BOPH-2026-212027. The publication opens a thirty-day period for interested parties to examine the file and submit claims.
The announcement is processed under file number 4910, within the Local Administration (City Councils) section, at the request of the municipal Secretariat. The edict is signed by the Mayor-President, Berta Fernández Pueyo, and is dated November 4, 2026, in Sabiñánigo.
The six revised ordinances
The modification affects the tax ordinances that support a large part of the tax burden and municipal fees of the district:
- Tax Ordinance No. 1, regulating the real estate tax (IBI).
- Tax Ordinance No. 3, regulating the construction and works tax.
- Tax Ordinance No. 9, regulating the water supply fee.
- Tax Ordinance No. 10, regulating the sanitation fee.
- Tax Ordinance No. 11, regulating the waste collection fee.
- Tax Ordinance No. 27, regulating the fee for parking and circulation of mechanically powered vehicles on public roads (ORA).
These are, therefore, the instruments that tax real estate, construction activity, the water cycle—supply and purification—waste collection, and regulated parking on public roads. The revision is proposed jointly and with a common horizon: the 2027 budget year.
Thirty days to claim
The edict subjects the agreement to public information for a period of thirty days, counted from the day following the publication of the announcement in the Official Gazette of the Province. During this period, interested parties may consult the file and present any allegations or claims they deem appropriate.
The announcement itself establishes the legal consequence of silence: if no claims are made within that period, the modification will be understood as definitively approved without the need for a new pronouncement by the Plenary. In that event, the City Council will proceed to the full publication of the modification of the ordinances in the official gazette.
Consultation of the file
The administrative file is available to interested parties at the Secretariat of the Sabiñánigo City Council, where it can be examined along with the detailed documentation for each of the six ordinances.
The review of the tax ordinances affects the tax bill of all the municipality’s taxpayers —homes, shops, companies, and professional activities— as well as the direct debit receipts for water supply, sanitation, and waste collection, and the rates applicable to regulated parking. The claims period is, in practice, the last opportunity for residents and interested associations to intervene before the new amounts come into effect with the change of the fiscal year.
