Sabadell grants 34,999.99 euros in subsidies to elderly people's organizations

The Sabadell City Council has resolved the call for grants destined for projects and activities of non-profit entities that promote the participation of elderly people, with a total of 34,999.99 euros assigned to eleven entities. The resolution, signed by the deputy mayor Eloi Ismael Cortés Serra, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Barcelona on October 8, 2026, with the reference CVE 202610150440.

The call was processed under a competitive bidding regime, and the approved text is dated Sabadell, October 1, 2026. The participating entities had requested 40,462.00 euros, and the total score obtained by the set of applications was 718 points; therefore, the final amount assigned is 5,462.01 euros below the requested amount.

Eleven beneficiary entities and assigned amounts

• Aula d’Extensió Universitària de Sabadell per a la Gent Gran (NIF G64255417): 65.00 points, €7,000.00 requested and €4,692.17 assigned.
• Fundació Cívica Oreneta del Vallès (G64299118): 78.50 points, €6,000.00 requested and €5,666.67 assigned.
• Federació Coordinadora de Casals per la Gent Gran de Sabadell (G58125626): 62.00 points, €3,930.00 requested and €3,930.00 assigned.
• Local social pensionista Cifuentes: 75.00 points, €1,280.00 requested and €1,280.00 assigned.
• Fundació Privada Amics de la Gent Gran: 49.00 points, €4,117.00 requested and €3,537.15 assigned.
• Coral Cardines: 45.00 points, €1,700.00 requested and €1,700.00 assigned.
• Local social pensionista Torre Romeu: 52.50 points, €1,000.00 requested and €1,000.00 assigned.
• Casal Gent Gran Creu Alta: 65.00 points, €1,900.00 requested and €1,900.00 assigned.
• Fundació Club Natació Sabadell: 42.00 points, €800.00 requested and €800.00 assigned.
• Pensionistes del Banc de Sabadell: 59.00 points, €6,500.00 requested and €4,259.01 assigned.
• Associació Cultural de gent gran Coral Arco Iris: 59.00 points, €2,260.00 requested and €2,260.00 assigned.

One rejected application

The resolution also rejects the request submitted by Associació Centre Cultural Can Borgonyó, with NIF G60480431, on the grounds that it does not reach the minimum score of 30 points indicated in the regulatory bases.

Expenditure commitment and multi-year operations

The third section approves the expenditure commitment to cover the granted subsidies in the amount of 34,999.99 euros, charged to the budget application 2026-209-3341-48200 and according to the accounting records 2026.2.0000442R (year 2026) and 2026.2.0000443R (year 2027). The detail of the operations is as follows:

• 2026.2.0021807: €3,753.74 for the University Extension Classroom of Sabadell for the Elderly.
• 2026.2.0021809: €4,533.34 for the Fundació Cívica Oreneta del Vallès.
• 2026.2.0021812: €3,144.00 for the Coordinating Federation of Senior Centers of Sabadell.
• 2027.2.0001319: €938.43 for the University Extension Classroom of Sabadell for the Elderly.
• 2027.2.0001320: €1,133.33 for the Fundació Cívica Oreneta del Vallès.
• 2027.2.0001321: €786.00 for the Coordinating Federation of Senior Centers of Sabadell.

The provisions of these expenses are subject to the credit authorized by the respective budgets for each fiscal year.

Publication, notification and transparency

The resolution replaces individual notification and has the same effects, and the information must be registered in the National Grants Database (BDNS) through the means provided by it. Likewise, the resolution of the call is published on the electronic headquarters and the transparency portal of the Sabadell City Council.

The decision directly affects the city’s associative fabric: eleven elderly organizations receive funding for projects and activities for the participation of older people, while another is excluded for not reaching the scoring threshold. The final distribution, €5,462.01 lower than the total requests, reflects the scoring criteria applied under a competitive bidding regime.
