The Inca photovoltaic park is released for public consultation
Por FactBox Admin

The Department of Enterprise, Freelancers and Energy of the Government of the Balearic Islands has opened the public information process regarding the administrative authorization, the recognition of public utility for the purposes of the declaration of general interest, and the simplified environmental processing of the PFV Sa Sort photovoltaic park project. The installation is planned for Polygon 1, Plot 6, in the municipality of Inca, and the request was submitted by the company Guarladell Nostre, S.L.U. The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Balearic Islands (BOIB) number 105, dated August 22, 2026, under file number RE020/25.
A strategic energy project
The process is based on Royal Decree 1955/2000, of December 1, which regulates the activities of transport, distribution, marketing, supply, and the authorization procedures for electrical energy installations. Added to this are Law 13/2012, of November 20, on urgent measures for economic activation in matters of industry and energy; Law 14/2019, of March 29, on strategic industrial projects of the Balearic Islands; and Law 21/2013, of December 9, on environmental assessment.
The simplified environmental processing and the recognition of public utility place the project in the category of installation of general interest, a procedure that allows for the acceleration of its execution as it is considered strategic for the archipelago’s energy system. The park is located on rural land in the municipality of Inca, in the heart of the Raiguer region.
How to consult the project and submit objections
The project can be examined during the public exhibition period through two official channels:
- The website of the Directorate General for Circular Economy, Energy Transition and Climate Change, in the public information section for projects.
- The Transparency Portal of the autonomous community, in the public information section for energy and mines.
Interested parties may submit any objections they deem appropriate within a period of thirty days, counting from the day after the publication of the announcement in the BOIB. The document may be submitted through any of the means provided for by the common administrative procedure regulations.
Signature and delegation
The announcement was signed in Palma on August 17, 2026, by Diego Viu Domínguez, Director General for Circular Economy, Energy Transition and Climate Change, acting by delegation of the Minister of Enterprise, Freelancers and Energy, according to the delegation published in BOIB no. 97, of July 24, 2025.
The public information period for the PFV Sa Sort opens a key window for citizen participation for the residents of Inca and its surroundings, who will be able to learn about the scope of the project and make contributions before the administration decides on the authorization and the declaration of general interest. The outcome of this process will condition the deployment of photovoltaic generation in the region and its integration into the Balearic electrical system.
