Sáez Sáenz replaces Alcolea on the Riojan Economic and Social Council

The Governing Council of La Rioja has appointed Héctor Miguel Sáez Sáenz as a member of the Economic and Social Council of La Rioja for the third group, representing the Union of Small Farmers and Livestock Breeders of La Rioja (UPA-Rioja), replacing Néstor Alcolea Galilea. The appointment is formalized through Decree 21/2026, of September 18, published in the Official Gazette of La Rioja on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, in section II on Authorities and Personnel. The new councilor will remain in office for the time remaining for his predecessor to complete the two-year appointment period.

Validity and scope of the mandate

The decree specifies that Héctor Miguel Sáez Sáenz will not complete a full term, but only the time remaining for Néstor Alcolea Galilea to exhaust the two-year mandate provided for in the regulatory legislation of the Economic and Social Council.

The sole final provision of the decree sets its entry into force for the same day of its publication in the Official Gazette of La Rioja, without the text providing for any transitional regime or adaptation periods.
