Rocío Milano Núñez, new technical director for Women in Valladolid

The Ministry of the Presidency of the Regional Government of Castilla y León has awarded, through the free appointment system, the position of technical director of the General Directorate for Women and Equal Opportunities to the civil servant Rocío Milano Núñez. The appointment is formalized by Order PRE/837/2026, of August 28, published in the Official Gazette of Castilla y León number 170, of September 2, 2026, on pages 5 to 7.

The resolution, signed by the Minister of the Presidency, Luis Miguel González Gago, resolves the public call previously announced by Order PRE/658/2026, of July 14, published in the Official Gazette of Castilla y León number 138, of July 20. The procedure is processed using the powers conferred by Article 26 of Law 3/2001, of July 3, on the Government and Administration of Castilla y León, and in accordance with Articles 48 and 51 of Law 7/2005, of May 24, on the Civil Service of Castilla y León.

The awarded position

The assignment corresponds to the Technical Directorate for Women, attached to the General Directorate for Women and Equal Opportunities, based in Valladolid. The position details, according to the annex of the order, are as follows:

Deadlines for cessation and assumption of office

The order establishes that the cessation from the position previously held by the civil servant shall occur within three business days following the publication of the resolution in the official gazette. The assumption of office in the new assignment shall take place on the business day following the cessation; if the resolution involved reinstatement to active service, the period would be extended to ten business days from the day following its publication.

The time elapsed between cessation and the assumption of office shall be considered active service in the new position and shall be remunerated. A copy of the cessation and assumption of office proceedings must be sent to the General Personnel Registry within three days of their production.

Appeals process

Against Order PRE/837/2026, which exhausts the administrative route, a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed before the Contentious-Administrative Court of Valladolid within two months from the day following its publication, in accordance with Articles 8.2 and 14.2 of Law 29/1998, of July 13. Previously and optionally, a request for reversal may also be presented to the Minister of the Presidency within one month, according to Articles 123 and 124 of Law 39/2015, of October 1.

Relevance of the appointment

The filling of this level 29 position by free appointment reinforces the management structure of the equality area of the Junta de Castilla y León, a key field in the design and execution of equal opportunity policies in the community. The appointment of Rocío Milano Núñez to the Technical Directorate for Women places a group A1 civil servant in charge of the technical management of a body with transversal competencies in equality matters, effective from the date of taking office as provided in the order itself.
