Riudarenes restructures the governing team and renews the deputy mayors

The City Council of Riudarenes has made public the modification of its municipal organizational chart for the 2023-2027 term, approved by the Plenary in an ordinary session on September 2, 2026. The edict, electronically signed by Mayor Josep Solé Turon on September 7, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Girona number 178, dated September 16, 2026, with the official reference BOP-2026_0_178_7911 (pages 1 to 9).

The restructuring is organized into four agreements: the modification of representatives in collegiate bodies (file X2026000889) and three mayoral decrees dated September 3, 2026, regarding the Local Government Board (2026DECR000656), the deputy mayors (2026DECR000658), and the reorganization of areas and councilorships (2026DECR000657), all three under file X2026000910.

New Deputy Mayors and Local Government Board

Decree 2026DECR000658 establishes the order of precedence for the deputy mayors, who will replace the mayor in case of vacancy, absence, or illness:

• First Deputy Mayor: Mireia Turon Masferrer
• Second Deputy Mayor: Joan Bosch Orellana
• Third Deputy Mayor: Glòria Paradeda Bou

Parallelly, decree 2026DECR000656 modifies the composition of the Local Government Board, which is now composed of Mireia Turon Masferrer, Joan Bosch Orellana, and Glòria Paradeda Bou, under the presidency of the mayor. The appointments are effective from the day following the date of the resolution.

Representatives in supra-municipal bodies

The agreement of file X2026000889 renews the corporation’s representatives in a dozen collegiate bodies, with a titular member and a substitute for each:

• Catalan Association of Municipalities and Counties (ACM): titular Josep Solé Turon, substitute Glòria Paradeda Bou
• Federation of Municipalities of Catalonia (FMC): titular Joan Bosch Orellana, substitute Mireia Turon Masferrer
• Council of Local Initiatives for the Environment: titular Joan Bosch Orellana, substitute Josep Solé Turon
• Localret Consortium: titular Josep Solé Turon, substitute Joan Bosch Orellana
• Consortium for Linguistic Normalization: titular Glòria Paradeda Bou, substitute Bet Mompió de Trincheria
• Catalan Fund for Development Cooperation: titular Bet Mompió de Trincheria, substitute Mireia Turon Masferrer
• Vall-llobera Foundation: titular Mireia Turon Masferrer, substitute Josep Solé Turon
• Council of Mayors of the County Council: titular Josep Solé Turon, substitute Mireia Turon Masferrer

Reorganization of areas and departments

Decree 2026DECR000657 redefines the areas and departments that make up the City Council, effective throughout the 2023-2027 term. Josep Solé Turon assumes the Mayoralty, Emergencies and civil protection, Citizen security, Human resources, Urban planning and housing, Entities, Economic promotion and trade, and Finance and treasury. Mireia Turon Masferrer leads Youth, Citizen participation, Seniors, Environment and animal rights, and Energy transition and sustainability. Joan Bosch Orellana assumes Public works and services and Welfare and health; Glòria Paradeda Bou, Festivals and Sports; Ricard Serra Labrada, Culture, Linguistic Policy and Communication; and Bet Mompió de Trincheria, Education, Childhood, Architectural heritage, Tourism and Equality.

Delegations will be understood as accepted if non-acceptance is not expressly stated within three business days from notification. The agreements are published on the municipal electronic office in compliance with Law 19/2013 and Law 19/2014 on transparency.

The restructuring of the organizational chart reorders the governance of Riudarenes mid-term and defines who represents the municipality before supra-municipal and county institutions. For residents, it provides a clear map of responsibilities in areas as sensitive as urban planning, security, the environment, or education, with direct effects on the daily management of the town.
