Riofrío de Aliste approves the ordinance for the cleaning of vacant lots

The City Council of Riofrío de Aliste has initially approved the municipal ordinance regulating the cleaning of land and plots in urban, developable, and rural soil within the municipal district, according to the announcement published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Zamora number 105, dated September 9, 2026. The regulation, adopted by Agreement of the Plenary on December 31, 2025, is now subject to public consultation for a period of thirty days.

The decision is adopted in accordance with articles 49 and 70.2 of Law 7/1985, of April 2, Regulating the Bases of the Local Regime, and article 56 of the Recast Text of the Local Regime. The announcement, electronically signed on September 8, 2026, bears the official reference R-202602135 and is inserted in section III of Local Administration.

Public Consultation Period

The thirty-day period begins to count from the day following the insertion of the announcement in the provincial gazette. During this period, any interested party may examine the text of the ordinance and submit any claims and allegations they deem appropriate.

• The document may be consulted at the municipal offices of the City Council.
• It will also be available on the municipal electronic office at the address http://riofriofriodealiste.sedelectronica.es.
• Allegations may be submitted through ordinary channels during the aforementioned period.

Final Approval

In the event that no claims are submitted during the public consultation period, the agreement to approve the ordinance shall be understood as definitively approved, without the need for further processing. Should allegations occur, the file must be resolved in accordance with local regime regulations.

The ordinance affects the owners of properties in the municipality, who must keep the land and plots located in urban, developable, and rural soil clean and in sanitary conditions, in line with the conservation obligations imposed by urban planning legislation.

Relevance for the Municipality

The new regulation reinforces the duty of owners to maintain their plots in adequate conditions, preventing the proliferation of weeds, waste, and sources of unsanitary conditions in the urban center and the rural surroundings of Riofrío de Aliste. The announcement, dated in the municipality on September 3, 2026, and signed by the Mayor, opens the door to citizen participation before the regulation comes into full force.
