Ribadeo approves a credit supplement of 241,509 euros

The Plenary of the Ribadeo City Council, in a session held on September 9, 2026, agreed to the initial approval of the credit modification file no. 73/2026 of the current budget, in the form of a credit supplement, for an amount of 241,509.13 euros. The agreement was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lugo no. 212, on September 16, 2026, under reference R. 2453.

Financing and legal framework

The credit supplement will be financed by the Treasury Surplus for general expenses (RTGX), a common method for providing resources to budget items when the initial budget proves insufficient. The processing complies with the provisions of article 169.1, by referral of 179.4, of the Recast Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries, approved by Royal Decree 2/2004, of March 5.

The file is subject to public exhibition for a period of fifteen days, counted from the day following the publication of the announcement in the BOP of Lugo, so that interested parties may examine it and present any claims they deem appropriate.

Period for allegations and final approval

During the public exhibition period, any interested person may consult the file and formulate allegations. The procedure establishes that:

• The period for allegations is fifteen days from the day following the publication in the BOP.
• If no allegations are presented, the agreement will be considered definitively approved automatically.
• The announcement was signed in Ribadeo on September 10, 2026, by the mayor, Daniel Vega Pérez.

A decision within municipal budget management

This budget modification is part of the ordinary financial management of the Ribadeo City Council, which in the same plenary also agreed to the initial approval of another modification, no. 69/2026, through a credit transfer between different expenditure areas for an amount of 5,324.00 euros (reference R. 2454). Both decisions share the same legal framework and public exhibition period.

The approval of this credit supplement will allow the Ribadeo City Council to have additional funds to cover general expenses not initially foreseen in the budget, reinforcing the municipal execution capacity in the current fiscal year. Citizens now have the opportunity to participate in the process by submitting allegations within the established legal period.
