Ribadavia calls for the position of economic technician on October 28

The Ribadavia City Council will hold the written test for the selection process to fill one position as Economic Resources Technician via internal promotion on October 28, 2026, at ten in the morning. The Mayor’s resolution of October 13, 2026, signed by Mayor César Manuel Fernández Gil, approves the final list of admitted and excluded persons and appoints the qualifying tribunal. The agreement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ourense on October 16, 2026, in section IV for local entities, with official reference R. 2.443.

The call for applications derives from the rules published on August 13, 2026, in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ourense no. 153, whose announcement was also disseminated in the Official Gazette of Galicia no. 167, of September 3, 2026, and in the Official State Gazette no. 225, of September 11, 2026, in addition to the notice board of the municipal electronic headquarters. The position corresponds to the expansion of the 2026 Public Employment Offer and is processed under the powers that article 21.1 of Law 7/1985 on the bases of local regime attributes to the mayor’s office.

A single admitted applicant and no exclusions

Following the deadline for the submission of applications, the resolution confirms that all requests received comply with the provisions of the rules, therefore no exclusions were recorded. The final list is as follows:

• Sonia Couso Fernández, DNI *****015P, the sole applicant admitted to the selection tests.

The convened position is that of a civil servant designated as Economic Resources Technician, within the internal promotion process reserved for staff.

Composition of the qualifying tribunal

The resolution appoints the members of the selection body, with principals and substitutes for each position:

• Presidency: Manuel V. Pérez Nieto, civil servant of the Provincial Council of Ourense; substitute Ángeles Cantón Álvarez, also from the Provincial Council.
• Secretariat: Francisco Gaspar Fernández Castro, civil servant of the Ribadavia City Council; substitute Jaime Pintos Pérez, head of the Legal Advisory Office.
• First membership: Esteban Fernández Álvarez, head of the Personnel Management and Selection Section; substitute Francisco Javier Llorente Serrano, civil servant of the Ribadavia City Council.
• Second membership: María Begoña Álvarez Mato, civil servant of the Provincial Council of Ourense; substitute M.ª Carmen Fernández Gómez, from the same institution.
• Third membership: Vicente Soto Rodríguez, civil servant of the Ribadavia City Council; substitute Gonzalo Dobarro Peña, civil servant of the Provincial Council of Ourense.

Date, place, and development of the tests

In accordance with rule 10.1 of the call’s rules, the exercise will consist of a written multiple-choice questionnaire and will be held under the following conditions:

• Date and time: October 28, 2026, at 10:00 hours.
• Place: assembly hall of the Ribadavia City Council, at Praza Maior s/n.
• Mandatory material: national identity document and pens.

Furthermore, the tribunal is convened on the same October 28 at 13:00 hours for the evaluation of the competition phase, in accordance with base 10.2. The agreement will be published on the electronic headquarters and on the notice board of the Ribadavia City Council.

The resolution thus closes the admission phase of a process that has only one candidate, which guarantees the continuity of the procedure without previous incidents. For the municipal staff interested in promotion and for the candidates from the surrounding area, the appointment on October 28 marks the decisive moment: the joint evaluation of the competition and opposition will determine who occupies a position with an economic profile in a council that thus reinforces its technical structure.
