Authorization of the ESORIB vocational training center in Castellón revoked

The Department of Education, Culture and Universities has terminated, by express revocation, the authorization of the private Vocational Training center ESORIB, code 12005908, in Castellón de la Plana, for failing to meet the minimum required standards. The decision is detailed in an Order dated August 4, 2026, the operative part of which is published in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana (DOGV) number 10438, dated August 27, 2026, in the announcements section.

The measure, signed by the Director General of Educational Centers, Jorge Cabo Martínez, in València on August 6, 2026, will take academic effect at the start of the 2026-2027 school year and will lead to the corresponding deregistration entries in the Registry of Educational Centers of the Comunitat Valenciana.

Grounds for Revocation

The termination of the authorization is based on Article 17 of Royal Decree 332/1992, of April 3, which regulates the minimum requirements for educational centers. According to the order, the center failed to meet the established minimum requirements, particularly those relating to teacher qualifications, as well as failing to provide the authorized teaching in accordance with the current academic organization, in application of Article 19 of the same regulation.

Appeals against the Resolution

Against the order, which exhausts administrative remedies, interested parties may file the following appeals:

• Optional appeal for reversal (recurso potestativo de reposición), before the body that issued the act, within one month from notification.
• Contentious-administrative appeal, before the High Court of Justice of the Comunitat Valenciana, within two months from notification.

For interested parties who are not subject to notification, the deadlines will begin to run from the day following the publication in the DOGV.

Impact on Students

The revocation directly affects the students of the center, as the center’s authorization will be terminated at the start of the next school year. The deregistration from the Registry of Educational Centers of the Comunitat Valenciana implies the cessation of the authorized training activity of ESORIB, therefore families and students must relocate their enrollment to other Vocational Training centers in the province of Castellón for the 2026-2027 academic year.
