Por FactBox Admin

The Reus City Council has opened the call for grants aimed at sports entities and organizations that use the city’s municipal sports facilities during the 2026-2027 season, with a total allocation of 1,422,000.00 euros. The call was approved by Decree number 2026022878, dated October 13, 2026, and published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Tarragona (BOPT) on October 20, 2026, in three separate extracts: CVE 2026-09592 for module A, CVE 2026-09593 for module B, and CVE 2026-09594 for module C. Interested entities have 20 calendar days to submit their application.
The regulatory bases originate from the Municipal Plenary of December 1, 2017, which initially approved them through a competitive bidding process, with the publication of the public information process in BOPT number 16, dated January 23, 2018, and final approval without objections. The requirements for each modality are listed in the bases published in BOPT number 50, dated March 12, 2018. The extracts are published in accordance with articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of the General Grants Law 38/2003, of November 17, and the full text can be consulted in the National Grants Database with identifiers 935156 (module A), 935157 (module B), and 935158 (module C).
Three modules with fixed amounts
The allocation is distributed among three lines according to the type of facility use, charged to budget item 21220-34102-489 of the municipal expenditure budget:
- Module A, regular use of facilities for training and competition by entities participating in school or federated competitions: 1,160,200.00 euros, of which 481,700.00 euros are charged to the 2026 budget and 678,500.00 euros to the 2027 budget.
- Module B, regular use for sports learning or specialization activities without competition: 156,000.00 euros, with 74,000.00 euros in 2026 and 82,000.00 euros in 2027.
- Module C, occasional or extraordinary use of facilities: 105,800.00 euros, with 49,000.00 euros in 2026 and 56,800.00 euros in 2027.
Per fiscal year, the call provides for 604,700.00 euros charged to 2026 and 817,300.00 euros to 2027, both amounts extendable by a maximum of 50,000.00 euros. The amounts may be increased based on applications and budget availability, and the remainder of one module may be used to increase the allocation of the others.
Calendar, eligible periods, and covered amounts
The season is set between July 1, 2026, and June 30, 2027, with two holiday periods: from July 1 to 31, 2026 (summer) and from December 22 to 28, 2026 (Christmas). The covered periods vary according to the module:
- Module A and Module B: from August 1 to December 21, 2026 and from December 29, 2026 to June 30, 2027, with a maximum subsidizable percentage of up to 100% of the facility use fees.
- Module C: from July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027, also up to 100%, which drops to 70% of the use cost when the beneficiary entity sets a public admission price.
Electronic applications and subsequent justification
Applications are submitted electronically via the electronic office of the Reus City Council (reus.cat) using the standardized form, within 20 calendar days following the publication in the BOPT, that is, until November 9, 2026. The form includes an authorization for the council to directly consult the documentation of the municipal company RELLSA: the request for seasonal use, the grant and its budget, the activity project and budget, and the invoices issued for the use of the facilities.
The justification can be submitted until July 31, 2027 and includes an activity report, an economic report with the balance of expenses and income, and documentary justification of the dissemination of the municipal funding, using the formula “With the support of” and the logos of the Reus City Council – Health and Sports and Reus és Esport on posters, brochures, communications, website, and schedules. If the grant exceeds 10,000 euros, information regarding the remuneration of the management or administration bodies, or a certificate of their non-existence, must be provided. The extracts are signed by Josep Alberich Forns, general secretary by delegation of signature, as head of the Legal Advisory Service, dated in Reus on October 14, 2026.
The call reaches the clubs at a time of full season start and establishes for the first time in a single decree the economic ceiling for the three lines of aid, so that entities can plan training and competitions knowing which part of the cost of using municipal facilities will be covered.
