Reus aprova definitivament el Projecte d'asfalt urbà 2026 sense al·legacions

The Reus City Council has definitively approved the 2026 Urban Asphalt Project, after the 30-working-day public information process closed without any objections. The initial approval was issued by a Decree of the Acting Mayor dated August 10, 2026, and the result is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Tarragona on October 14, 2026, with the official reference CVE 2026-09259 and file CONOBR-0266/2026.

The text is an edict from the Procurement, Contracting, and Heritage Service of the Reus City Council, made public for general knowledge under article 38.2 of Decree 179/95, of June 13, which approves the Regulations for works, activities, and services of local entities. This regulation governs the ordinary procedure for the approval of municipal works projects and requires public exhibition prior to definitive approval.

The action is part of the set of municipal investments in the city’s public space and comes after a period in which the City Council has closed several technical files through the same administrative circuit.

A 30-working-day process without objections

The procedure was resolved in two phases. First, the Decree of the Acting Mayor of August 10, 2026, initially approved the project; subsequently, the document was submitted for public information for 30 working days, the term established by regulations so that any interested party may examine it and submit claims.

Once this term expired without any objections being formulated, the project was definitively approved, as stated in the edict. The publication in the official gazette is the act that provides general publicity to the decision and closes the ordinary administrative route of the procedure.

Signature and official publication

The edict was electronically signed on October 5, 2026, by Jordi Voltas i Francisco, Head of Procurement, Contracting, and Heritage, by delegation of signature from the General Secretary of the corporation. The official publication data are:

  • Gazette: Official Gazette of the Province of Tarragona (BOPT).

Other projects approved by the same procedure

The 2026 Urban Asphalt Project is not an isolated case: in recent weeks, the Reus City Council has published the definitive resolution of other technical projects processed with 30-working-day public information and without objections in the same gazette.

  • Renaturalization project for Josep Maria Carreras Dexeus square: initially approved by Decree of the Councilor delegated for Public Roads on July 7, 2026; published in the BOPT on September 7, 2026 (CVE 2026-08162, file CONOBR-0213/2026).
  • Technical project for a new children’s play area in Plaça de les Cultures, Mas Iglesias neighborhood: initially approved by Decree of the Councilor delegated for Public Roads on July 23, 2026; published in the BOPT on September 29, 2026 (CVE 2026-08696, file CONMIX-0126/2026).
  • Technical report for the improvement of the image of fixed waste collection centers and the mobile waste collection service of Reus: initially approved by Decree of the Councilor delegated for the Area of Environment, Sustainability and Public Roads on September 22, 2026; published in the BOPT on September 29, 2026 (CVE 2026-08844, file CONOBR-0300/2026).

Impact for residents

With the final approval, the administrative processing of the project is closed, a usual previous step to the tendering and execution of the works. The action will involve paving work on the public roads of Reus and, therefore, a direct impact on urban mobility in the sections where interventions take place. Interested parties may consult the full edict in the official bulletin and verify its authenticity with the code CVE 2026-09259.
