The music kiosk in San Julián Park will be restored

The Cuenca City Consortium has submitted for public review the technical project for the restoration works of the bandstand and the restroom building of the San Julián Park in Cuenca, an emblematic action regarding the urban heritage of the capital. The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cuenca, number 96, dated August 21, 2026, page 12, under number 1997.
The work, whose project revision dates from May 2026, has a total budget of 274,400.00 euros including VAT, broken down into 226,776.86 euros as the taxable base and 47,623.14 euros in VAT. The project was drafted by the architect Ignacio Vignolo Pena, from Mota y Vignolo Arquitectos, S.L.P.
Public Information Process
In accordance with Law 39/2015 on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations, the project and the remaining documentation will be open to the public for a period of twenty business days, starting from the date of its publication. During this period, any interested person may examine it and submit allegations.

How to Submit Allegations
Allegations must be addressed to the Cuenca City Consortium through any of the means set forth in Law 39/2015 on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations. The announcement, signed on August 18, 2026, bears the signature of the Consortium’s manager, Mariano Teruel Arrazola.
Relevance of the Action
The restoration of the bandstand and the restrooms of the San Julián Park represents the recovery of a unique element of the most representative public space of the Cuenca capital. With the opening of the public information process, citizens and interested entities have the opportunity to participate in the process before the tendering of the works, guaranteeing transparency in an investment of more than a quarter of a million euros destined to preserve the urban heritage of Cuenca.
