Requejo initially approves the ICIO tax ordinance

The Plenary Session of the Requejo City Council, in an urgent extraordinary session held on August 4, 2026, agreed by majority, with the attendance of three of the five members of the Plenary, to initially approve the regulatory ordinance for the Tax on Installations, Constructions, and Works (ICIO). The agreement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Zamora, number 102, of September 2, 2026, page 50, under reference R-202602088.
Regulatory Framework
The initial approval is processed under Article 17 of Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5, which approves the Revised Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries, and Article 49.b) of Law 7/1985, of April 2, Regulating the Bases of the Local Regime. The document, electronically signed on September 1, 2026, bears the signature of the Mayor of Requejo.
Period for Allegations
With the publication of the agreement, a thirty-day period for public information and allegations is opened, counted from the day following the publication of the final announcement. During this period, interested parties may consult the file and present as many allegations or claims as they deem appropriate.

Effects of the Process
Once the period has elapsed without any allegation or claim being presented, the ordinance shall be understood as definitively approved without the need for a new agreement from the Plenary. In the event that allegations are presented, they will be resolved by the Plenary itself.
The new ordinance will regulate the ICIO, a tax that levies the execution of installations, constructions, and works within the municipal district, and therefore will affect all works and constructions carried out in the municipality of Requejo. The agreement is made public for the general knowledge of the residents and any interested person.
