Regantes de la Mancha Oriental deciden el plan de explotación 2026/2027

The Central Board of Irrigators of Eastern La Mancha (JCRMO) has called all its members to an extraordinary general assembly to be held on Saturday, November 21, 2026, for the purpose of submitting the Operating Plan for the 2026/2027 campaign for approval. The notice is published in the Sixth Section, Private Announcements, of the Official Gazette of the Province of Albacete (BOP) number 128, corresponding to Wednesday, November 4, 2026, on page 39, under official reference 28.404.

Notice, location, and time of the session

The announcement is addressed to all members of the JCRMO and sets the meeting in the assembly hall of the Unicaja headquarters, located on San José de Calasanz Street, s/n. The session will be held with a double call: at 09:30 hours for the first call and at 10:00 hours for the second call.

The notice is processed as a private announcement of the entity, the usual channel for the boards of irrigation communities and water management entities in the provincial gazette, and is not accompanied by any other documentation in the official announcement.

A four-point agenda

The published agenda comprises four sections:

  • Communication of the approval of the minutes of the general assembly of March 21, 2026, by the syndics.
  • Report from the President at the end of the 2025/2026 hydrological year.
  • Presentation, debate, and approval, if applicable, of the Operating Plan for the 2026/2027 campaign.
  • Requests and questions.

The third point is the most significant: the campaign’s Operating Plan is submitted for presentation, debate, and voting, so that the assembly may or may not approve it under the proposed terms.

Management rules will be available for consultation

The announcement specifies that the proposed Management Rules (Operating Plan) for 2026/2027 will be published at the JCRMO offices with sufficient advance notice to be examined. In other words, the text to be brought to the assembly is the Management Rules document for the campaign, and irrigators will have access to it at the entity’s headquarters before the vote.

The official document does not detail the content of these rules nor figures regarding surface area, allocations, or volumes; it limits itself to establishing the notice, location, times, agenda, and the regime for prior consultation of the proposal.

Who decides and through which internal procedures

The notice expressly mentions the intervention of the syndics, who are responsible for communicating the approval of the minutes of the previous general assembly, held on March 21, 2026. The President of the JCRMO will present his report coinciding with the close of the 2025/2026 hydrological year, so that the assembly will address the balance of the ending cycle and, subsequently, the rules for the following campaign in a single session.

The meeting on November 21 therefore takes place during the transition between two hydrological years, with the minutes of the March assembly as the first item on the agenda, which formally links the management of the current fiscal year with the planning for the 2026/2027 campaign.

Impact on the region’s irrigation

The Operating Plan is the instrument through which the entity organizes the water management rules for the campaign; therefore, its approval directly affects the activity of the irrigators integrated into the Junta Central de Regantes de la Mancha Oriental. For this reason, the call acquires relevance beyond the internal life of the entity: the assembly on November 21 decides on the framework that will govern the irrigation of the next cycle.

Those interested in participating or examining the proposal have access to the announcement published in the BOP number 128 of November 4, 2026, and the JCRMO offices, where the Management Rules will be displayed before the session.
