Raúl Bordas de la Fuente, nuevo teniente de alcalde de Valdeconcha

The Valdeconcha City Council has appointed Raúl Bordas de la Fuente as the new deputy mayor of the municipality. The appointment was formalized by Mayoral decree dated August 14, 2026, and was made public in the Official Gazette of the Province of Guadalajara, number 175, corresponding to Monday, September 14, 2026.

The resolution, signed by the mayor-president, José Antonio de la Fuente Lozano, is published for the purposes of the provisions of article 46.1 of the Regulations on the Organization, Operation, and Legal Regime of Local Entities, approved by Royal Decree 2568/1986, of November 28.

Regulatory framework of the appointment

The position of deputy mayor is regulated within the framework of Spanish municipal organization. Article 46.1 of the Regulations on the Organization, Operation, and Legal Regime of Local Entities establishes the obligation to publish in the corresponding official gazette the appointments of members of the corporation who perform government functions, thereby guaranteeing transparency and public knowledge of the local government structure.

The designation is the responsibility of the mayor, who exercises this power by decree, without the need for a plenary agreement. In this case, the decree was issued on August 14, 2026, and its publication in the provincial gazette occurred one month later, on September 14, 2026.

Functions of the deputy mayor

The deputy mayor assumes, by delegation of the mayor, the functions of direction and ordinary management of the municipality, as well as the substitution of the mayor in case of absence, vacancy, or illness. Among their usual duties are:

  • Presiding over the sessions of the local government board when applicable.
  • Substituting for the mayor in the exercise of their functions.
  • Signing documents and resolutions by express delegation.
  • Promoting administrative management and municipal services.

A municipality of the Alcarria

Valdeconcha is a small municipality in the province of Guadalajara, part of the Alcarria region. The renewal of its local government team seeks to ensure administrative continuity and permanent attention to residents, especially in a municipality with a small population where the government structure is necessarily agile.

The appointment of Raúl Bordas de la Fuente reinforces the city council’s government team and ensures that there is always a person qualified to exercise the functions of the mayor’s office. The publication in the official gazette grants full publicity and legal effects to the appointment, so that any interested party can know the current composition of the municipal government of Valdeconcha.
