Quart submits the urbanization of PAU 5 Can Modeguer for public review

The Quart City Council has initially approved the urbanization project and the reparceling project for the urban action polygon PAU 5 Can Modeguer. The decision was adopted at the session of the Local Government Board on September 14, 2026, and was made public in the Official Gazette of the Province of Girona no. 191, dated October 5, 2026, with the official reference BOP-2026_0_191_8438. Both instruments are now subject to one month of public consultation.

One month to submit objections

The edict sets the public exhibition period at one month, which begins to count the day after the publication of the announcement in the Official Gazette of the Province of Girona and in El Punt Avui de Girona. During this period, any interested party may examine the projects and formulate the objections they deem appropriate.

The measure is framed within articles 89.6 and 119.2 c) of the revised text of the Urban Planning Law, approved by Legislative Decree 1/2010, of August 3. These provisions require reparceling and urbanization projects to be submitted for public information before their final approval, meaning the process opened now is prior to the final resolution of the procedure.

Two files and two projects

The initial approval affects two complementary instruments, processed with separate files:

• Urbanization project of PAU 5 Can Modeguer.
• Reparceling project of the same polygon.
• File 2026000294.
• File 2026000295.

The urbanization project defines the infrastructure works and services of the sector, while the reparceling project organizes the redistribution of estates and burdens among the owners of the affected land. The edict does not detail the surface area of the sector nor the number of properties included.

Online consultation and information point

The department enabled to exercise the right to information is the Urban Planning Area of the Quart City Council. The announcement also facilitates the electronic consultation of the two documents:

• Reparceling project: link published in the edict, hosted in the SharePoint environment of the Quart City Council.
• Urbanization project: link published in the edict, hosted on the SwissTransfer platform.

The announcement is signed by the mayor, Ferran Rodero Tomás, with an electronic signature date of September 25, 2026.

The publication opens the formal period in which land owners of the sector and neighbors can review both the distribution of burdens and the design of the works before the projects become final. The objections submitted within the one-month deadline must be evaluated by the Quart City Council before the final approval of the two instruments.
