Puertos Canarios opens public information for extensions in Puerto Colón and Mogán

Puertos Canarios has opened for public consultation the request for the exceptional extension of the concessions for the occupation of the public port domain of the marinas of Puerto Colón, in Adeje (Tenerife), and Mogán (Gran Canaria). The decision is published in the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands number 165, dated August 18, 2026, through two announcements signed on July 28, 2026, by the managing director, José Gilberto Moreno García.

Both procedures are processed in accordance with section 8 of article 47 of the Development and Execution Regulations of the Ports Law of the Canary Islands, approved by Decree 52/2005, of April 12. For a period of one month, persons who consider themselves affected may examine the files and submit observations or allegations through the electronic office of Puertos Canarios.

Two files under public consultation

The first request corresponds to file 140/2018, submitted by Mr. Eugenio Campos Domínguez on behalf of Puerto Colón, S.A., for the exceptional extension of the concession for the construction and operation of the Puerto Colón Marina, in the municipality of Adeje, island of Tenerife.

The second, file 145/2018, has been submitted by Ms. Beatriz Ara Villar on behalf of Puerto de Mogán, S.A., for the extension of the exceptional concession for the occupation of the public port domain intended for the construction and operation of the base marina on the beach of Mogán, on the island of Gran Canaria.

Deadline and procedure for allegations

The files will be available for a period of one (1) month on the notice board of the Puertos Canarios electronic office (https://puertoscanarios.sedelectronica.es/board). Within this same period, interested parties may submit any observations or allegations they deem appropriate regarding the extension requests.

• File 140/2018: Puerto Colón Marina, Adeje (Tenerife).
• File 145/2018: Base marina on Mogán beach (Gran Canaria).
• Public consultation period: one month from publication.
• Resolving body: Puertos Canarios, a public entity dependent on the Government of the Canary Islands.

Relevance for tourism operation

The extension of these concessions directly affects the tourism and nautical operation of two of the archipelago’s main marinas, in municipalities with a strong tourism vocation such as Adeje and Mogán. The continuity of the concessions guarantees the operation of the port facilities on public domain, a strategic asset for the economic activity and employment linked to the nautical and tourism sector of the Canary Islands.
