Puertollano somete a información pública su ordenanza de locales de eventos privados

The Puertollano City Council has initially approved the Ordinance regulating the activity of premises intended for private events, as well as private events carried out by public establishments. The decision was adopted by the Plenary Council in an ordinary session held on September 24, 2026, and the agreement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ciudad Real number 187, of Tuesday, September 29, 2026, on page 9049, within the local administration section. The file is listed under reference SJU 20232 and announcement number 3096.

Opening of the period for allegations

The edict submits the text for public information for a period of thirty days, which will be counted from the day following the insertion of the announcement in the Provincial Gazette. During this period, any interested party may examine the ordinance and present the claims they deem appropriate.

The consultation of the file is organized through two channels:

  • The transparency portal of the Puertollano City Council.
  • The municipal corporation’s edict board.

Allegations must be formulated within the indicated period and through the channels enabled by the local administration.

The initial approval is adopted in accordance with articles 49 and 70.2 of Law 7/1985, of April 2, Regulating the Bases of Local Regime, and article 56 of the Recast Text of the Local Regime. The projected ordinance covers two areas: premises specifically intended for private events and private events held in public establishments within the municipality.

The announcement was signed in Puertollano on September 25, 2026, by the mayor, Miguel Ángel Ruiz Rodríguez. The insertion in the provincial gazette appears signed by the Head of Section of the B.O.P., Juan Luis Cuadros Campo, dated September 28, 2026, with secure verification code 6XDifwHgtfY3gDB82Nm4.

Effects if there are no claims

The edict specifies that, in the event that no claims are presented within the aforementioned period, the agreement for the approval of the ordinance will be understood as definitively approved. That is, the absence of allegations during the thirty days converts the initial approval into a definitive one without the need for a new express plenary pronouncement on the text.

The processing thus conforms to the ordinary procedure for the approval of local ordinances and regulations, which combines the initial agreement of the Plenary with a public hearing process before the text enters into force.

Impact for residents and establishments

The regulation directly affects the hospitality industry and leisure venues in Puertollano, as well as public establishments that lease their spaces for private celebrations, which will now operate under a specific municipal framework. It is also of interest to residents, as the ordinance regulates an activity that until now lacked its own regulation in the municipality. Interested parties have thirty days from the day following this publication to review the text and submit allegations before the ordinance is definitively approved.
