Puente la Reina de Jaca puts the leasing of rural estates out to tender

The City Council of Puente la Reina de Jaca has opened a tender for the lease of municipal heritage rural estates located in Santa Engracia de Jaca and Javierregay, according to respective announcements published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Huesca number 164, dated August 28, 2026. The decision was adopted by Mayoral Decree of August 27, 2026, which approved the specifications for both tenders.

The contracts are processed as private contracts in accordance with Article 9 of Law 9/2017, of November 8, on Public Sector Contracts, and will be awarded by tender in accordance with Article 107.1 of Law 33/2003, of November 3, on the Heritage of Public Administrations. The sole award criterion is the highest lease price, and bidders may increase their offers; offers lower than the initial price will be discarded, and ties will be resolved by lottery.

Estates in Santa Engracia de Jaca

The tender for Santa Engracia de Jaca (reference BOPH-2026-164018) comprises seven plots in polygon 1, with a combined initial price of 5,251.20 euros per year:

• PAUL DE JUDIO (plot 177), 1.8244 ha, €256/year
• PAUL DE ARAGON (plot 204), 0.2318 ha, €30.65/year
• CAMPO MARGON (plot 236), 5.3113 ha, €1,231.25/year
• LA SARDA (plot 248), 12.6541 ha, €2,146.15/year
• LAS CASCARRIAS (plot 499), 8.8739 ha, €1,106/year
• ARGUILA (plot 5020), 0.3865 ha, €60.15/year
• PAUL JUDIO (plot 1176), 2.5512 ha, €421/year

Estates in Javierregay

The tender for Javierregay (reference BOPH-2026-164019) comprises six plots, with a combined initial price of 2,098 euros per year:

• CHINEBRAL (polygon 1, plot 48), 0.3842 ha, €32/year
• EL SORTEO (polygon 2, plot 23), 7.4962 ha, €1,536/year
• LA HUERTA (polygon 3, plot 51), 0.6538 ha, €185/year
• SANTA LUCIA (polygon 3, plot 88), 0.6458 ha, €201/year
• ARTAL (polygon 4, plot 17), 0.2330 ha, €33/year
• ARTAL (polygon 4, plot 33), 0.3640 ha, €111/year

Terms and Conditions

The duration of the lease is 5 non-renewable years, ending on September 29, 2031 (San Miguel). The annual rent shall be paid in advance before September 30 of each year, except for the first payment, which must be made before October 30, 2026.

The land may only be used for agricultural exploitation; forestry or woody plantations, construction works, and subletting are prohibited. Natural and legal persons, Spanish or foreign, with full legal capacity may submit offers via an “A” envelope for each estate, including the responsible declaration (Annex I) and the economic proposal (Annex II).

Bids shall be submitted to the Puente la Reina de Jaca Town Hall (Calle Molino, s/n, 22753) until 11:00 AM on September 24, 2026, and the public opening will take place at 11:30 AM on the same day. The announcement is signed by Marta Sarasa Rubio, first deputy mayor.

The call for bids represents an opportunity for farmers and livestock breeders in the Jacetania region, who will be able to access municipal agricultural land through a competitive bidding process with clear deadlines and adjusted starting prices, promoting the cultivation of the municipality’s heritage plots.
