Por FactBox Admin

The Puente Genil City Council, through its Department of Equality, announces the 2nd Edition of the Artistic Expression Contest against Gender-Based Violence, an initiative funded by the State Pact against Gender-Based Violence and endowed with 700 euros in cash and in-kind prizes. The rules are published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba No. 201, dated October 16, 2026, with the official reference BOP-A-2026-3500 and identification number BDNS 934964. The call is approved under articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of the General Subsidies Law 38/2003, of November 17, and its full text can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database.
Framework of the call and objective
The call is justified by the commemoration of November 25, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and its stated objective is to foster reflection and social commitment through artistic expressions that make visible the rejection of sexist violence and promote equality. The rules were signed by the Councilor for Social Services, Equality, and Families, Asunción César Navas, on October 13, 2026.
The concept of gender-based violence governing the contest is that established by Organic Law 1/2004, of December 28, on Comprehensive Protection Measures against Gender-Based Violence, which encompasses acts of physical and psychological violence, assaults on sexual freedom, threats, coercion, and arbitrary deprivation of liberty.

The works must be unpublished, original, and not previously awarded in other contests, and must include a slogan or title related to the purpose of the call, as well as the mention “November 25, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women”. The use of artificial intelligence tools is prohibited, and the jury may request the editable files to verify this.

The jury consists of five people: the Councilor for Equality, Asunción César Navas; the legal advisor of the Municipal Women’s Information Center, Inmaculada Muñoz García; the psychologist of the same center and member of the Local Technical Commission against Gender Violence, Gloria Villalobos Núñez; the secretary of the Las Hijas de Salfad Biblical Corporation, Sonia Estepa Tabares; and the audiovisual communicator Jesús Carmona Borrego. The evaluation will consider the originality, quality, and informative effectiveness of the works, and will be carried out without knowledge of the authorship of the works.
The verdict will be made public on November 25, 2026, at the opening ceremony of the exhibition of works on the ground floor of the Ricardo Molina Municipal Library, and shall be final. Non-winning works may be withdrawn starting in February 2027 and, if not collected, may be destroyed starting in April of that same year.
The call for entries reinforces the municipal calendar of activities against sexist violence and opens a channel for direct citizen participation for the residents of Puente Genil, who can exhibit their work in a public space and compete for prizes funded by state funds from the Ministry of Equality.
