Pueblonuevo del Guadiana approves its municipal plan against floods.

The Plenary of the City Council of Pueblonuevo del Guadiana has definitively approved the Municipal Action Plan against Flood Risk in Pueblonuevo del Guadiana, at an ordinary session held on 4 August 2026. The agreement has been made public through Notice 3193/2026, published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Badajoz number 153, of 12 August 2026, in the Local Administration section.

The notice is published in accordance with Article 70.2 of Law 7/1985, of 2 April, regulating the Bases of Local Government, which requires municipal agreements to be publicised for general knowledge. The municipality of Badajoz, on the banks of the Guadiana, thus has its own planning instrument for dealing with river floods, intended to serve as a reference for prevention and for the planning of future actions in the field of safety. The definitive text of the plan is available to citizens on the City Council’s electronic office.

A plenary agreement of a definitive nature

The definitive approval was adopted by the Plenary of the Hon. City Council of Pueblonuevo del Guadiana at an ordinary session held on 4 August 2026. The “definitive” nature of the agreement, expressly stated in the notice, brings the processing of the document to an end and leaves it in force as the municipality’s action framework for dealing with flood risk.

The consistory publishes the content of the plan “for general knowledge”, as required by local government legislation, and recalls that the document can be consulted in full through the municipal electronic office.

Legal framework for publication

The dissemination of the agreement is based on Article 70.2 of Law 7/1985, of 2 April, regulating the Bases of Local Government, a provision that regulates the publication of agreements and resolutions of local authorities.
