Puebla de Valles abre el cobro de basura e IVTM hasta diciembre

The Puebla de Valles City Council will open the voluntary payment period for the garbage collection fee and the Mechanical Traction Vehicle Tax (IVTM) corresponding to the 2026 fiscal year between October 30 and December 30, 2026. The call is signed by the mayor-president, María Elena Martín Ruiz, in an edict published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Guadalajara number 206, dated October 28, 2026 (2026_2813). The announcement affects all residents of the municipality, who face surcharges and late payment interest if they do not pay the receipts within the deadline.

The text is published in the City Councils section of the provincial gazette under the heading “Collection period for various 2026 taxes,” and is headed by the formula “Makes known” through which the mayor-president communicates the agreement to the general public. The edict is dated in Puebla de Valles on October 6, 2026, three weeks before its insertion in the gazette, and carries the verification code f99cf133f6e8414ee5566e408f019046fc22a88c for verification on the electronic headquarters of the Provincial Council.

Two receipts for the 2026 fiscal year

There are two documents being collected, both referring to the year 2026 and both of municipal settlement:

  • 2026 garbage collection fee.
  • 2026 Mechanical Traction Vehicle Tax.

The announcement does not detail amounts or the number of receipts issued: it limits itself to establishing the payment period and the available means to make it effective, so that each resident will know the specific amount of their settlement through the notification received at their home.

Payment in banks and taxpayer assistance

Payment can be made using the notification that the taxpayer receives at their home, making the deposit in any of the indicated banks, including Ibercaja. To resolve doubts, the Puebla de Valles City Council refers to the auxiliary offices located in Madrid, calle Téllez number 18, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., or by telephone at 91.501-61-00, during the same hours.

Direct debit on December 2

The edict sets a key date for those who have these taxes set up for direct debit: on December 2, 2026, the charge to the bank account will be made for all residents of the municipality who have these fees and taxes domiciled. This is, therefore, the first effective deadline of the calendar, prior to the closing of the voluntary period scheduled for December 30.

Surcharges, interest, and enforcement procedure

Once the voluntary period has elapsed, the mayor-president warns, the executive enforcement procedure will begin in accordance with the provisions of the current General Collection Regulations. In that phase, the unpaid installments will be collected along with the surcharge, late payment interest, and any applicable costs, such that the delay in payment increases the debt above the initially issued installment.

The announcement concludes with the phrase “Which is made public for general knowledge,” common in tax-related publications of the province’s town halls.

The publication in the Official Gazette of the Province of Guadalajara gives the collection calendar effectiveness against third parties and starts the countdown of the deadlines: the residents of Puebla de Valles have two months, until December 30, to bring their payments up to date, and those who have direct debit receipts will see the charge in their account on December 2. Anyone who lets both dates pass will be subject to enforcement and an additional cost in the form of surcharges, interest, and costs.
