The Provincial Delegation of the Electoral Census Office of La Rioja has made public the complete list of sections, polling stations, and electoral venues for all municipalities in the province for the General Elections on November 29, 2026. The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of La Rioja number 196, corresponding to Monday, October 12, 2026, with the official reference BOR-A-20261012-III–3856. Voters wishing to challenge the delimitation have six days from the date of publication to file a claim with the Provincial Electoral Board.
The resolution bears the signature of Julia Villafáfila Sánchez, provincial delegate of the Electoral Census Office in La Rioja, and is dated in Logroño on October 9, 2026. The text recalls that the elections for the Congress of Deputies and the Senate were called by Royal Decree 806/2026, of October 5, and that the delimitation has been established in accordance with article 24.2 of Organic Law 5/1985 of the General Electoral Regime (LOREG), as amended by Organic Law 3/1995, article 2.1, after consulting the city councils.
The document consists of 12 pages, occupying pages 17190 to 17201 of the gazette within section III, “Other provisions and acts,” and is also identified by the number 202610090124930 (III.3856).
Scope of the list
The publication includes all sections, polling stations, and electoral venues of the municipalities in the province of La Rioja, ordered by code and name, indicating the section, the polling station, the census letter assigned to each station, the electoral venue, its address, and the postal code. The most populous municipalities concentrate the highest number of sections and polling stations:
- Logroño: six electoral sections, with polling stations in the City Hall (central courtyard), the Public Library, the House of Sciences, the Yagüe Civic Center, the Plus Ultra Center, and numerous schools and institutes.
- Calahorra: three sections, with polling stations in the City Hall, the Municipal Library, the Europa Pavilion, and the Aurelio Prudencio, Ángel Oliván, and Quintiliano schools.
- Haro: four sections, with the Town Hall, the San Felices School, the Official Language School, and the IES Manuel Bartolomé Cossio.
- Arnedo: two sections, with the Cervantes Theater, the Youth Center, the Municipal Toy Library, and the La Estación School.
- Alfaro: two sections, with the Gonzalo de Berceo Institute, the Bishop Ezequiel Moreno School, and the Abbatial Palace.
- Nájera and Santo Domingo de la Calzada: two sections each.
- Lardero: one section, with polling stations in the Sports Center of CEIP Villa Patro and in the Sports Center of the González Gallarza School.
Deadlines and voting for residents abroad
The list opens a claim period for voters:
- Six days following the publication to file a claim against the delimitation before the Provincial Electoral Board, in accordance with article 24.3 of the LOREG.
- Electors registered in the Electoral Census of Absent Residents living abroad who choose to exercise their right to vote shall send their vote to the Polling Station established at the Provincial Electoral Board, according to article 75.4 of the same law.
The publication further details the venues for small municipalities, which in most cases are limited to the town hall, former schools, the retirees’ home, or the cultural center, with a single polling station and letters A-Z.
The list is the instrument that determines where each Riojan voter votes on November 29 and opens the process to correct delimitation errors before the election date. Any voter may consult their section, polling station, and venue in the published text and, if applicable, file a claim before the Provincial Electoral Board within the established period.
