Polling stations for November 29 published in 61 Pontevedra municipalities
Por FactBox Admin

The National Statistics Institute (INE) has published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Pontevedra (BOPPO) the complete list of sections, polling stations, and electoral tables for the 61 municipalities of the province for the elections on November 29, 2026. The announcement, signed by the provincial delegate of the Electoral Census Office, Alberto González Burdiel, opens a six-day period to file claims before the Provincial Electoral Board. The publication appears in issue number 196 of the gazette, corresponding to Monday, October 12, 2026, with the official reference 2026072423.
The list is published in compliance with article 24.2 of the Organic Law of the General Electoral Regime (LOREX), which requires the public disclosure of the delimitation of electoral sections and the locations and tables that must be established in each call. The section boundaries are those fixed for the electoral census closed on August 1, 2026, and can be consulted both at the Provincial Delegation of the Electoral Census Office and in the respective municipalities.
The annex details the distribution of the census municipality by municipality. The information is organized by municipality, district, section, subsection, and table, and includes the exact address of the polling station and the streets and population entities covered by each table.
A discrepancy between the title and the body
The header of the announcement refers to the “upcoming municipal elections of November 29, 2026,” while the text of the body expressly speaks of the “call for the General Elections of the upcoming November 29, 2026.” The discrepancy affects the nature of the electoral process cited, although not the published delimitation, which is the same in both cases.
The announcement is dated October 7, 2026, in Pontevedra and is accompanied by the secure verification code OU9BEMHJP6S04I5S, which allows the integrity of the document to be verified on the electronic headquarters of the Provincial Council of Pontevedra.
How the tables are organized
Each table is identified by a letter and grouped by sections and subsections. When a section has only one table, the letter U is used; when there are several, they are numbered as A, B, C, or D. The assignment of voters is done by the initial of the first surname:
- Single table (U): all electors of the section, from A to Z.
- Two tables: A for surnames from A to K and B for those from L to Z, or A and B divided by segments.
- Three or four tables: successive distribution of initials among A, B, C, and D.
Among the listed polling stations are municipal offices and public facilities of all kinds:
- Vigo: the city hall building itself, council houses, school groupings, cultural centers, and sports pavilions.
- Cerdedo-Cotobade: the Cerdedo Cultural Center-Multipurpose Building, the Casa do Pobo of Santa María de Sacos, and the Quireza Social Center.
- Vilaboa: the Borrateiros Sociocultural Center.
- Tui: the Old Church School and the Malvas Grouped Rural Center.
- Marín: the Santo Tomé House of Culture.
- Mondariz: the Riofrío Teleclub.
What voters can do
By virtue of article 24.3 of the LOREX, voters may file claims against the published delimitation before the Provincial Electoral Board within six days following the publication of the announcement. The period begins to count from this Monday, October 12, 2026.
Consultation of the delimitation is available at the Provincial Delegation of the Electoral Census Office and in the respective city councils, so that any voter can check the section, the venue, and the table that correspond to them before the election date.
The publication establishes the electoral map of the entire province and is the instrument that allows each voter to know where and with which table letter they must vote on November 29. Any error in the delimitation or in the assignment of venues can be corrected within the six-day period, therefore the review of the list is the first step to ensure an election day without incidents.
