Provisional lists of optional environmental agents published

The General Directorate of Public Employment and Personnel Administration, of the Department of Finance and Public Administration, has published in the Official Gazette of Galicia (DOG no. 157, of August 20, 2026) the provisional lists for the temporary performance of positions reserved for civil servant personnel of the body of assistants of a facultative nature, scale of environmental facultative agents, of the Xunta de Galicia. The resolution, signed on August 19 by the general director Nuria Aguilar Vázquez, opens a period of five business days to submit claims.

The publication responds to the Resolution of August 19, 2026, with official reference CVE-DOG: 40yrm8r1-jwv8-31i8-ckc9-qo4oxzmdfkx1, and the urgency processing provided for in article 33.1 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the common administrative procedure is applied.

Regulatory framework and background

The call is governed by Decree 37/2006, of March 2, which regulates the appointment of interim personnel for the temporary performance of positions reserved for civil servant personnel and the temporary hiring of labor personnel of the Xunta de Galicia. According to article 6.2 of this regulation, the period for submitting applications to be part of the lists begins annually on March 1 and ends on April 30.

Once the period ended, the submitted applications were examined to verify the fulfillment of the required requirements and to assess the alleged merits. The Permanent Commission, in accordance with article 4 of Decree 37/2006, agreed to submit the provisional lists of admitted and excluded applicants to the head of the general directorate for their publication in the DOG.

Why it is processed as urgent

The positions of the body of assistants of a facultative nature, scale of environmental facultative agents, depend on the Department of Rural Affairs and carry out their tasks mostly in the forest fire prevention and defense services. Given that there is a more intense need for hiring currently in that list and there are not enough available members listed, its publication is urgent and independent of the remaining lists.

Content of the lists and claim period

The lists can be consulted on the corporate web portal of the Xunta de Galicia, funcionpublica.xunta.gal, under the heading “Hiring Lists”, and at the Citizen Information and Assistance Service via telephone 012. They contain the following information:

• Applicants admitted to the list, with an indication of the provisional score resulting from the application of the scale established in article 9 of Decree 37/2006.
• Excluded applicants, stating the cause of exclusion.

Interested parties will have a period of five business days, counting from the day following the publication of the resolution in the DOG, to submit claims to the Permanent Commission (General Directorate of Public Employment and Personnel Administration, San Caetano Administrative Building, s/n, Santiago de Compostela). Along with the claims, the necessary documentation to remedy the cause of exclusion shall be provided, if applicable, as well as the certification of services rendered in the general Administration of the Autonomous Community of Galicia, according to the model in Annex I of the resolution.

Persons who requested inclusion electronically through fides.xunta.gal must submit their allegations through this computer application. Those who do not submit the necessary documentation to remedy the cause of exclusion will be definitively excluded. Once the period has elapsed, the appropriate amendments will be carried out and the definitive lists will be published in the DOG.

The urgent publication of these lists is key to ensuring the immediate coverage of positions for environmental technical agents, an essential group in the prevention and defense against forest fires in Galicia. The accelerated processing allows for the streamlining of personnel recruitment at a time of high demand, reinforcing the response capacity of the regional administration against one of the most sensitive threats to the Galician territory.
