List of Lawyers of the General Advocacy of Extremadura published

The Vice Presidency and Ministry of the Presidency, Coordination of Government Action, Interior and Emergencies of the Junta de Extremadura has published the list of persons holding the status of Counsel of the General Advocacy of the Junta de Extremadura, along with their official headquarters and the officials authorized for the delivery and collection of judicial documentation. The publication is made via the Resolution of September 7, 2026, signed by the Vice President and Minister Abel Bautista Morán, and appears in the Official Gazette of Extremadura number 179, of September 16, 2026, in section III of Other Resolutions (official reference 2026062318).

The measure is adopted in compliance with article 34.1 of the Regulation on the organization and functioning of the General Advocacy of the Junta de Extremadura, approved by Decree 1/2022, of January 12, which requires the publication of a detailed list of all Counsel in the first month of each judicial year, so that it may serve to accredit their status before the Courts of Justice. The representation and defense of the regional Administration generally corresponds to these Counsel, in accordance with Law 2/2021, of May 21, on the legal defense and assistance of the Autonomous Community, and Organic Law 6/1985 of the Judiciary.

The list of Counsel

Annex I of the resolution contains the structure of the body, headed by the General Counsel and the heads of the three service areas, followed by the list of assigned Counsel:

• General Counsel: María del Pilar Calleja García.
• Chief Counsel of the Advisory Services Area: Antonio Carrasco Rodríguez.
• Chief Counsel of the Contentious Services Area: Antonio Alonso Clemente.
• Chief Counsel of the Legal Assistance Area: Salvador Mateos Sánchez.
• 29 Counsel, including Luis Manuel Alonso Santiago, Fátima María Barroso Tamayo, Esther Blanco Méndez, Javier Camacho Risco, María José Camacho Risco, Macarena Delgado Martínez, Julia Durán Aznal, Esperanza Fernández Aguirre, Casilda Gutiérrez Pérez, Virginia Márquez Becerra, Ana María Miranda Cid, María del Amor Pérez Vega, José Manuel Rodríguez Muñoz, Macarena Rubio Ambel, Elena Sánchez Bohoyo, Ana Cristina Sánchez-Barriga Leitón, Francisco Miguel Sánchez Calzado and Josefa Santana González, among others.

Official headquarters for notifications

Annex II establishes the addresses that constitute the official headquarters of the General Advocacy for the purposes of summons, notifications, subpoenas, and other acts of procedural communication, in application of article 11 of Law 52/1997, of November 27, on Legal Assistance to the State and Public Institutions:

• Mérida: “III Milenio” Administrative Building, Module 1-2nd floor, Avenida de Valhondo s/n, CP 06800 (tel. 924 003910).
• Cáceres: Multiple Services Building, 9th floor, Avenida Clara Campoamor 2, CP 10001 (tel. 927 001503).
• Badajoz: Calle Godofredo Ortega y Muñoz 1, CP 06011 (tel. 924 014273).

Authorized officials and inquiry channel

Annex III authorizes officials for the delivery and collection of documentation, as well as for filings and notifications via LexNet in proceedings in which the Junta de Extremadura is a party. Among them are Carolina Guillén Estévez, Head of the Contentious Section, and Juan Manuel Guerrero Carretero, Head of the Advisory Section, along with fourteen other officials from the General Counsel’s Office. Annex IV further designates the email address bastanteos@juntaex.es to handle inquiries regarding the sufficiency of powers of attorney and the legalization of signatures.

The publication has direct practical value for citizens, legal professionals, and judicial bodies, as it officially establishes the channels for procedural communication with the regional Administration and accredits before the Courts the status of the Lawyers who represent and defend it in court.
