Publicada a Girona la relació definitiva de meses i locals electorals

The Electoral Census Office has published the definitive list of municipalities, sections, polling stations, and electoral premises for the Girona constituency for the General Court elections on November 29, 2026. The edict, signed by the provincial delegate Carlos Mitjavila Garcés, appears in BOP no. 207, of October 27, 2026 (reference BOP-2026_0_207_9280) and replaces the provisional list published fifteen days prior. The text is issued once the claims period has expired, meaning the map of polling stations and colleges is now fixed for the electoral appointment.

The publication is made in application of article 24.3 of Organic Law 5/1985, of June 19, on the general electoral regime, which requires the document to be made public after voters have had the opportunity to challenge the delimitation. The immediate precedent is edict no. 8784, published in BOP no. 196, of October 12, 2026, which established six days to present claims before the Provincial Electoral Board, responsible for resolving them within five days.

The edict occupies seventeen pages of the bulletin (1-17), the same length as the provisional version, and covers the entire constituency, from Agullana to Biure, including the three municipalities that have their own codes 17901, 17902, and 17903. Each line indicates the district, section, subsection, and polling station, the assigned range of voters (from letter A to Z), and the voting location with its address.

One city, six sections, and dozens of polling stations

In Girona, the list unfolds six sections and about twenty polling stations distributed across municipal facilities. The main locations are:

  • Girona City Council, at plaça del Vi 1 (Miquel Diumé room).
  • Escola Verd, at carrer Tomás de Lorenzana 30.
  • Escola Pla de Girona, at avinguda Lluís Pericot 16.
  • Pavelló Municipal Palau, at carrer Josep Aguilera i Martí 4.
  • Palau de Fires, at passeig de la Devesa 36.
  • Centre Cívic Barri Vell Mercadal, at carrer Cort Reial 7.

Other county capitals maintain similar structures: Figueres organizes four sections with the Col·legi Josep Pallach, the CEIP Sant Pau, the Centre Cívic Creu de la Mà, and the Alt Empordà County Council as locations; Lloret de Mar has four, with the Casa de la Cultura, the Escola Esteve Carles, the Escola Pere Torrent, and the Escola Pompeu Fabra.

Aggregated nuclei and multiple polling stations

The document also resolves municipalities with dispersed populations, where the single polling station is replaced by several stations or by decentralized locations:

  • Vilademuls assigns one polling station to the Local el Paller de Vilademuls and another to the Local 1 d’Octubre de Sant Esteve de Guialbes.
  • Cruïlles, Monells i Sant Sadurní de l’Heura distributes three polling stations among the Escola Les Gavarres (la Bordeta), Can Geronès (Monells), and the Consultori Municipal de Sant Sadurní de l’Heura.
  • Forallac places polling stations at the Local Social de Vulpellac, the Local Social de Fonteta, and the Teatret de Peratallada.
  • Vilafant adds four sections, with the Centre Cívic les Mèlies and the Centre Social les Forques.
  • Sant Julià del Llor i Bonmatí concentrates two polling stations at the CEIP Sant Jordi.

The letter “U” appearing in many lines indicates that a single polling station covers the entire electorate of the section, while rows with intervals (for example, from A to L and from M to Z) correspond to sections split by the volume of voters.

Premises and expenses borne by the city councils

The list obliges the councils to have the premises, materials, and personnel ready by November 29. In Girona, the plenary approved a budget modification in October to cover these expenses, published in the BOP no. 202, of October 20, 2026 (edict no. 8906), with the following detail:

  • 13,164.64 euros in electoral expenses.
  • 14,480.94 euros in office materials, equipment rental, and postage.
  • 27,645.58 euros in total, financed through reductions from the contingency fund.

The final list is the reference that voters will consult to know where they vote and will serve as the basis for the census cards and the constitution of the polling stations. Any doubt regarding the assigned premises is therefore resolved by the edict of October 27, which fully replaces the previous version and becomes the only one in force for the election day of November 29.
