Presidencia publica dos subvenciones turísticas del segundo trimestre por 365.568 euros

The Regional Ministry of Presidency, Demographic Challenge, Equality and Tourism has made public the list of grants exceeding 6,010.12 euros awarded by the department and its attached autonomous bodies between April 1 and June 30, 2026. The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Principality of Asturias (BOPA) no. 190, dated October 1, 2026, under reference Code 2026-07783. The annex includes only two grants, both from the Vice-Ministry of Tourism, totaling 365,568.06 euros.

The publication responds to the mandate of article 6.4 of Decree 71/1992, of October 29, which regulates the general regime for granting subsidies within the scope of the Principality of Asturias. This regulation requires that grants awarded under paragraph 3 of the same article be published in the BOPA when their amount exceeds 6,010.12 euros, a threshold that acts as the boundary between ordinary publicity and the detailed list in the gazette.

The announcement was signed in Oviedo on September 18, 2026, by the General Technical Secretariat of the ministry, and the period covered spans the second quarter of the 2026 financial year, from April 1 to June 30. The only two grants listed correspond to the Vice-Ministry of Tourism and are intended to execute actions in two Asturian councils within territorial tourism sustainability plans financed with European funds.

Two city councils and two tourism sustainability plans

  • Amieva City Council: 191,501.47 euros, with a resolution date of May 18, 2026, for the execution of the actions corresponding to this council within the ACD of the Territorial Tourism Sustainability Plan in Destination of the Principality of Asturias 2022.
  • Mieres City Council: 174,066.59 euros, with a resolution date of June 3, 2026, for the actions corresponding to this council within the ACD of the Territorial Tourism Sustainability Plan in Destination of the Principality of Asturias 2023.

In both cases, the declared purpose is the execution of the actions assigned to each council within the framework of the ACD of its respective territorial plan. These are, therefore, transfers linked to already planned tourism investment projects, and not grants awarded directly to individuals or companies.

Financing with European funds

The two grants are financed by European Union Funds-Next Generation EU, as detailed in the announcement’s own annex. This circumstance links the expenditure to the recovery mechanisms articulated after the pandemic and subjects the actions to the eligibility and justification rules specific to European funds.

The breakdown by annuity of the territorial plans—2022 for Amieva and 2023 for Mieres—shows that the department continues to execute multi-year commitments acquired in previous financial years, the payment of which is now materialized through resolutions from May and June 2026.

Budgetary applications and expenditure control

The annex also identifies the budgetary application of each grant, which allows for the tracking of the origin of the public funds:

  • 11 08 751A 767 015, corresponding to the grant for the Amieva City Council.
  • 11 08 751A 767 017, corresponding to the grant for the Mieres City Council.

Both items fall under program 751A, associated with tourism policy, and are recorded with the same economic breakdown except for the final digit, which distinguishes each file. The publication of this data is the instrument that allows for verification that the aid corresponds to the planned project and the declared beneficiary.

The announcement is limited to the grants from the Department of Presidency, Demographic Challenge, Equality, and Tourism and its autonomous bodies, so it does not reflect the aid granted by other departments of the Principality of Asturias during the same period.

Relevance

The published list allows any citizen to verify who receives public money, how much, and for what purpose, in a quarter in which only two grants from this department exceeded the legal threshold of 6,010.12 euros. The detail of beneficiaries, amounts, resolution dates, and budgetary applications turns the announcement into a tool for expenditure oversight, especially relevant as these are Next Generation EU European funds that require traceability and documentary justification.
