Pozuelo provides 30,000 euros in subsidies to clubs promoted to national level
Por FactBox Admin

The Pozuelo de Alarcón City Council has approved a call for extraordinary grants intended for sports clubs in the municipality whose teams have achieved promotion to official national competitions. The measure, decided by the Local Government Board on August 12, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Community of Madrid number 204, dated August 27, 2026, in section III of Local Administration.
The grants, which are extraordinary in nature, seek to partially offset the increase in costs associated with competing in a higher category and to support the participation of clubs in their new division, as a sports promotion measure of municipal public interest. The call is listed in the National Grants Database with the identifier BDNS 925222.
Amount and conditions of the aid
Each beneficiary club may receive up to 100% of the admitted eligible expenditure, provided that the amount does not exceed the requested sum nor the maximum limit of 30,000 euros per club. The initial amount will be set based on the budget submitted by the applicant and, if the total amount of aid exceeds the available credit, the amount will be prorated among the beneficiaries in proportion to their admitted expenditure.
- The grant may not exceed, either alone or in conjunction with other aid, the cost of the subsidized activity.
- The final amount will be subject to the justification of the expenditure actually incurred.
Beneficiary requirements
Sports clubs that meet the following requirements may apply for these grants:
- Have a registered office in Pozuelo de Alarcón.
- Be registered in the corresponding Registry of Sports Entities.
- Have achieved an official promotion to a national competition during the immediately preceding season.
- Carry out sports activities continuously within the municipality.
- Be up to date with their tax obligations, with Social Security, and with the Pozuelo de Alarcón City Council itself.
Those who fall under any of the prohibitions provided for in Article 13 of the General Grants Law 38/2003, of November 17, the regulation which also governs the publication of the call summary, are excluded.
Deadline and processing
Applications must be submitted within fifteen business days, counting from the day following the publication of the summary in the BOCM, through the National Grants Database. The regulatory bases are the General Grants Ordinance of Pozuelo de Alarcón, published in the BOCM number 294, dated December 10, 2012. The summary was signed on August 17, 2026, by the delegated councilor for Sports, Luis Magide Blanco, under file number (03/13.629/26).
The call for applications represents direct support for the local sporting fabric of Pozuelo de Alarcón, recognizing the efforts of its clubs in reaching national categories. With a ceiling of 30,000 euros per entity, the City Council facilitates the transition to competitions with higher demands and costs, consolidating the municipality’s grassroots sports and its projection beyond the Community of Madrid.
