Portomarín corrects the budget and raises investments to 560,245 euros

The City Council of Portomarín corrects a material error detected in the municipal budget for the 2026 financial year, which left real investments at a figure much lower than the actual one. The correction, signed by Mayor Pablo Rivas Folgueira on August 17, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lugo no. 190, Friday, August 21, 2026, under reference R. 2257.

The announcement rectifies the content of the budget definitively approved and published in the BOP of Lugo no. 184, August 13, 2026, page 10. Having detected the material error, the council proceeds with its correction for the appropriate legal purposes.

The error and the correct figure

The rectification exclusively affects the Statement of Expenses, in its Chapter 6, dedicated to real investments. The difference between the published figure and the correct one is half a million euros:

The correction represents an increase of 500,000 euros in the municipal investment item, an amount that decisively conditions the planning of works and actions of the council throughout the financial year.

The correction is part of the procedure for the rectification of material errors provided for in administrative regulations, which allows public administrations to amend factual or arithmetic errors existing in their acts at any time. This is an ex officio correction, without altering the substantial content of the budget approval agreement.
