Ponts opens the 2026 sports grant call with 10,500 euros

The Ponts City Council has approved the call for grants for the 2026 financial year intended to finance the activities of sports entities and associations in the municipality, with a maximum budget of 10,500.00 euros. The agreement was adopted in the ordinary plenary session on September 7, 2026, and has been published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lleida (no. 176, of September 15, 2026), with the official reference BOP-2026_0_176_7583 and file 1239/2026.
The call is processed under a competitive bidding regime, in accordance with the definitively approved and current Specific Regulatory Bases for the 2024-2027 period. The expenditure will be charged to budget item 922-48900 of the 2026 municipal budget, and grants cannot be awarded for an amount exceeding the maximum provided.
Object and purpose of the aid
The aid aims to foster, promote, and disseminate values of integration, solidarity and diversity, sustainability, healthy habits, knowledge of the municipality, and associationism. The subsidized activities must be carried out between November 1, 2025, and October 31, 2026, and may consist of:
- The promotion and dissemination of sports activities of Ponts within the municipality itself, provided they are carried out in public spaces.
- The promotion and dissemination of sports activities of Ponts in other municipalities.
Who can apply and how
Non-profit sports entities and associations that meet the following requirements may be beneficiaries:
- Have their registered office in the municipality of Ponts.
- Be registered in the Municipal Registry of Entities and the Registry of Sports Entities of the Catalan Sports Council.
- Not be affected by the prohibitions of Article 13 of Law 38/2003, General Law on Subsidies, nor promote discriminatory, sexist, or violent values.
The deadline for submitting applications is 15 business days starting from the day after the final publication in the BOP and on the municipal e-board. Applications must be submitted through the City Council’s electronic office, and each entity may only submit one application. The resolution will be made in a single administrative act, within a maximum period of 15 business days.
Evaluation criteria
The Qualifying Commission, composed of the Mayor’s Office, the Department of Sports, an administrative officer, and the intervening secretary, will evaluate the projects with a maximum of 33 points, and a minimum of 10 points must be obtained to qualify for the grant. The criteria are:
- Competition level (max. 10 points): from 2 points for the local or county level up to 10 for international.
- Promotion of women’s sport (max. 10 points): from 0 points with no female participants up to 10 if they exceed 50% of the total.
- Promotion of values of integration, solidarity, equality, and diversity (max. 2 points), with 1 additional point for the integration of people with functional diversity.
- Collaboration with other entities (max. 10 points): from 0 points without collaboration up to 10 if collaborating with several entities or activities.
Justification and payment
Payment will be made after the due justification of the activity, through the simplified justification account, and the justification deadline will end on December 4, 2026. Eligible expenses include consumable materials, movable assets related to the activity, advertising, equipment rental, external services, and travel, with limits of 200 euros per year for improvements to municipal premises and 300 euros for non-sponsored trophies and prizes.
The call, signed by Mayor Josep Tàpies Ticó, reinforces the municipality’s commitment to grassroots sports and policies of equality and inclusion, by explicitly rewarding female participation and the integration of people with functional diversity. For the sports entities of Ponts, this is a key opportunity to finance their activities during the coming year.
