Por FactBox Admin

The Polop de la Marina City Council has resolved the examination phase of the selective process for the permanent provision of Local Police Officer posts, through the free-turn system, by means of Mayoral Decree No. 2026-659, of 6 August 2026. The list of applicants who have passed the process is made public in Official Gazette of the Province of Alicante No. 151, of 12 August 2026, in section III. Local Administration, within announcement 6280/2026, corresponding to file 1757/2022.
The resolution closes the examination phase of a public employment access process widely followed in the Marina Baixa region, which began with the call approved by the Corporation to fill basic-scale officer posts through the free examination system. A total of seven applicants have passed the phase, published in order of score, and a supplementary list is added under Article 61.8, second paragraph, of Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015, approving the consolidated text of the Basic Statute of Public Employees, intended to cover any possible withdrawals.
List of successful applicants
In order of score, the applicants who have passed the examination phase are:
- José Antonio Castejón de la Encina — 88.11 points
- Javier Martínez Sánchez — 76.00 points
- Alfonso López Bustamante — 74.22 points
- Isaac Cortés López — 73.12 points
- Daniel García Marín — 68.78 points
- Diego Fernández Gismero — 66.44 points
- Clara Lucas García — 63.00 points
As a supplementary applicant, Eugenio Iñesta Lorente appears, with 61.73 points, who may fill any vacancies arising from withdrawals among those who have passed.
Deadline for submitting documentation
In accordance with the eleventh basis of the call, successful applicants have a period of twenty working days, counted from the day following the publication of the announcement, to submit to the Corporation the documentation proving the requirements demanded in the bases. Those who do not provide it within that period, except in cases of force majeure, may not be appointed, so compliance with this procedure is a necessary condition to continue in the process.
Selective course and appointment
Once this phase has been completed, the list of applicants who must join the selective training course will be communicated to the Valencian Institute of Public Safety and Emergencies (IVASPE). The appointment of the candidates as career civil servants, the final stage of the access route, depends on passing this course. The announcement has also been disseminated on the notice board and on the City Council’s electronic headquarters (polop.sedelectronica.es) and is electronically signed by the mayor-president.
With this publication, one of the most anticipated phases of the selection process for the Polop de la Marina Local Police comes to a close, which will allow the corps to be strengthened with officers trained through IVASPE. For those who have passed, the next milestone is the submission of documents within twenty days and the successful completion of the selection course, upon which their definitive incorporation into service depends.
