Judiciary calls for competition for secretary, judges, and rapporteurs

The Judiciary of Chile has called for a public competition to fill several positions for secretary, judge, court receiver, and rapporteur in various courts across the country, according to the notice published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Chile on August 21, 2026, in the Tenders, Competitions, Summons, and Loss of Documents section. Interested parties have a period of ten days from the publication of the notice to submit their credentials.

The vacancies correspond to different categories of the Primary Scale and the Secondary Scale of the Judiciary, and arise from appointment, resignation, promotion, or termination of functions of the incumbents. Applications are made exclusively through the application portal on the website www.poderjudicial.cl, where interested parties must prove compliance with the legal requirements.

Called Positions

The notice provides for the filling of the following positions:

• Secretary of the Court of Appeals of Iquique, Third Category of the Primary Scale, grade V, vacant due to the appointment of Francisco Javier Berríos Veloso (Administrative Role No. 968-2026).
• Judge of the Guarantee Court of Tocopilla, Fourth Category, grade VI, vacant due to the appointment of Constanza Fernanda González Urrutia (Administrative Role No. 759-2026).
• Judge of the Second Court of Letters of Buin, Fifth Category, grade VII, vacant due to the voluntary resignation of Claudia María Arriagada Santelices (Administrative Role No. 1302-2026).
• Judge of the Second Civil Court of San Miguel, Third Category, grade V, vacant due to the promotion of Carmen Gloria Escanilla Pérez (Administrative Role No. 1307-2026).
• Judge of the Twelfth Guarantee Court of Santiago, Third Category, grade V, vacant due to the promotion of Marcelo Ignacio Ovalle Bazán (Administrative Role No. 1329-2026).
• Rapporteur of the Court of Appeals of Rancagua, Third Category, grade V, vacant due to the termination of functions of Luis Hernán Barría Alarcón (Administrative Role No. 529-2026).

Court Receivers of Santiago

The notice also calls for a competition to fill five positions of Court Receiver of Santiago, belonging to the First Category of the Fifth Series of the Secondary Scale of the Judiciary. These vacancies arise from the creation of positions according to exempt decree No. 1,727 of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, dated July 31, 2024, and correspond to administrative roles No. 3605, 3606, 3607, 3608, and 3609-2026.
