Plasencia calls for grants for youth organizations for 2026

The Most Excellent City Council of Plasencia, through its Department of Youth, has published the regulatory bases and the call for the granting of subsidies destined for activities developed by the city’s youth entities during the 2026 fiscal year. The call, processed under a competitive bidding regime, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cáceres number 0176, dated September 15, 2026, in Section I of Local Administration, with official reference BOP-2026-4301.

The objective is to support specific activity projects of general and public interest, open to the participation of youth in general (associated and non-associated), with actions located between January 1 and December 31, 2026. The call is supported by Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Law on Subsidies, by Royal Decree 887/2006, by the regulatory Ordinance of the General Subsidy Regime of the Plasencia City Council, and by the extension of the Strategic Subsidy Plan approved by the Local Government Board on July 16, 2026.

Amount and beneficiaries

The total amount of the subsidies to be granted shall not exceed 10,000.00 euros, charged to budget item 0106-3343-48905 of the 2026 Budget. The amount to be subsidized per project shall not exceed 2,500 euros and, in no case, may the aid be greater than 75% of the total budget of the subsidized activity.

The following entities may apply:

• Youth Associations and Federations of Youth Associations.
• Youth Sections of other organizations and Youth Political Organizations.
• Leisure Schools and Entities Providing Services to Youth.

Applicants must be legally constituted and registered in the Municipal Registry of Associations, have justified previous subsidies, and not incur the prohibitions of article 13 of Law 38/2003.

Lines of action

The projects are framed within three thematic blocks. Block I prioritizes gender equality and the elimination of sexist violence among the young population, the integration of people with disabilities, youth employment and entrepreneurship, the prevention of school bullying and cyberbullying, the Sustainable Development Goals, and the integration of disadvantaged youth. Block II covers the promotion of health and prevention of addictions, information campaigns, youth counseling, improvement of quality of life, and youth mobility. Block III promotes associationism, volunteering, summer activities, and youth publications.

Evaluation and deadlines

Applications will be evaluated with a maximum of 100 points: up to 40 for the entity (experience, volunteering, and participation) and up to 60 for the project (alignment with objectives, quality, implementation, volunteering, territorial scope, and collaboration). The instruction shall be the responsibility of the Delegated Councilor for Youth, with a report from a collegiate body, and the resolution shall be the responsibility of the Local Government Board, which must be issued within a maximum period of six months.

Applications shall be submitted electronically through the City Council’s headquarters within twenty business days from the publication of the summary in the BOP. Following the grant, entities must justify expenses within a maximum of three months from the completion of the activity, by submitting invoices and technical and economic reports.

The call for applications reinforces the role of youth in the social life of Plasencia and opens a stable funding channel for the city’s youth associative fabric, with special attention to gender equality and the prevention of gender-based violence.
