Por FactBox Admin

The Plasencia City Council has opened the call for grants for the year 2026 intended for associations that carry out activities in favor of women and gender equality. The guidelines are published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cáceres number 0161, dated August 24, 2026, in Section I of Local Administration, and were signed by the mayor, David Casimiro Dóniga Estévez, on August 18, 2026.

The call, processed through competitive bidding, distributes a total amount of 11,000 euros, with a maximum of 3,000 euros per beneficiary entity. The grant may not exceed 75% of the total budget of the submitted project, and there is sufficient credit in item 0105-23115-48930 of the 2026 municipal budget.

Requirements for beneficiary entities

Associations that carry out activities in favor of women and the effective implementation of gender equality and that meet the following conditions may apply:

  • Be legally constituted and registered in the Municipal Registry of Associations of the City Council.
  • Be part of the Municipal Women’s Council.
  • Have their area of operation within the municipality of Plasencia.
  • Have justified the grants received in previous years.
  • Not fall under the circumstances provided for in Article 13.2 of the General Grants Law 38/2003.

Deadline and method of submission

Applications must be submitted by electronic means, addressed to the mayor, within a period of thirty calendar days starting from the day following the publication of the summary of the call in the National Grants Database and in the BOP of Cáceres. If the documentation is found to be incomplete, a maximum and non-extendable period of 10 days will be granted to rectify it.

The documentation to be provided includes the application annex, the quantified and budgeted activities project, the operating expenses budget, the certificate from the secretary of the board of directors, the responsible declaration and, when the grant exceeds 3,000 euros, the document proving that tax and Social Security obligations are up to date.

Evaluation and payment criteria

Applications will be scored up to a maximum of 100 points, distributed in three blocks:

  • Activities project for the year of application: up to 50 points, prioritizing actions against gender violence, socio-labor insertion, and healthy leisure.
  • Participation in calls and activities promoted by the City Council: up to 40 points (10 per event).
  • Number of members: up to 10 points (5 for up to 100 members; 10 from 101 onwards).

The amount of each grant is calculated by dividing the 11,000 euros by the total points obtained and multiplying the result by the points of each association. Payment will be made via 100% advance payment of the granted amount, without requiring guarantees, and the justification of expenses must be accredited before December 31, 2026.

The resolution corresponds to the Local Governing Board, which must issue and notify it within a maximum period of six months from the publication of the call. The instruction of the procedure falls to the delegated councilwoman for Equality, and the collegiate evaluation body will be composed of the departments of Equality, Finance, and Social Services, with the general secretary of the City Council acting as the certifying officer.

The call is governed by Law 38/2003, Royal Decree 887/2006, the General Grant Ordinance of the City Council of October 30, 2006, and the Strategic Grant Plan approved on July 16, 2026. For the associative fabric of Plasencia, this line represents a direct opportunity to finance projects for equality, participation, and the fight against gender-based violence in the municipality.
