2.24 MW hybrid solar plant in Sotillo de la Adrada opens for public consultation

Por FactBox Admin

The Territorial Service of Industry, Commerce, and Economy of Ávila, under the Ministry of Environment and Energy of the Regional Government of Castilla y León, has opened for public consultation the request for prior administrative authorization for the hybrid technology power production plant «Luz del Tiétar-Sot», along with its switching center and high-voltage underground lines, in the municipality of Sotillo de la Adrada (Ávila). The announcement appears in the Official Gazette of Castilla y León, number 161, dated August 20, 2026, pages 7 and 8.

The process is opened under Article 9 of Decree 46/2022, of November 24, which regulates the administrative authorization procedures for electrical installations in Castilla y León. The petitioner is the company Luz del Tietar, S.A., and the installation will be located on plot number 10 of polygon 28, with cadastral reference 05240A028000100000ZW, in the aforementioned municipality of Ávila.

Technical characteristics of the plant

The installation combines photovoltaic generation and storage, with a panel capacity of 2,602.60 kWp and an inverter capacity of 2,240 kWn. Its main components are:

  • 3,640 bifacial photovoltaic modules of 715 Wp, mounted on a fixed structure in a 2V14 configuration.
  • 7 inverters of 320 kW.
  • 1 battery container, model Power Titan 2.0 ST4175UX-4H from Sungrow or similar, with 4,175 kWh of storage and 4 hours of duration.
  • 1 power station or transformation center, MVS3460-LS of 0.69/15 kV and 3,460 kVA.

The energy will be evacuated through a 15 kV switching center, the centralization point of the generated energy, from which an underground line runs to another switching and metering center subject to another project.

Files and budget

The request is processed under files FR-1004-AV, ATLI-52240, ATLI-52241, ATCT-4623, and ATLI-52239. The budget for the installation amounts to 2,028,716.06 euros.

Period for allegations

The project may be examined for a period of 20 days from the publication of the announcement at the Territorial Service of Industry, Commerce, and Economy of Ávila, at calle Duque de Alba, 6, Portal 2, first floor, as well as on the website of the Regional Government of Castilla y León (www.energia.jcyl.es), Energy and Mining section. Allegations that are deemed appropriate may be submitted within the same period. The announcement, dated in Ávila on August 14, 2026, is signed by the Technical Secretary, María del Carmen Ramírez Pascua, acting by delegation.

The initiative reinforces the deployment of renewables in the Tiétar region, although its implementation in the Ávila landscape and its impact on the local energy supply now open a period of public participation in which residents and entities may express their views before the authorization is resolved.
