2.4 MW photovoltaic plant in Tirajana opens for public consultation

The General Directorate of Energy of the Government of the Canary Islands has opened for public consultation the application for administrative authorization of a grid-connected photovoltaic plant with a nominal capacity of 2,400 kW promoted by Travesía Capital, S.L. (CIF B82174947) in the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, island of Gran Canaria. The announcement, signed on September 1, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands number 185, dated September 15, 2026, under file ER250026.
The installation requires administrative authorization in accordance with Decree 141/2009, of November 10, which approves the Regulation governing administrative procedures relating to the execution and commissioning of electrical installations in the Canary Islands. The General Directorate of Energy acts as the competent substantive body for its resolution.
Site and Location
The plant will be located on plot 82 of polygon 18, in the Arpón Blanco area, Santa Águeda, within the municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana. The cadastral data of the property are as follows:
- Cadastral reference 35020A018000820000EA.
- Municipality: San Bartolomé de Tirajana, island of Gran Canaria.

Technical Characteristics
The project involves a grid-connected photovoltaic installation with the following main components:
- 4,224 photovoltaic modules from the commercial brand Jinkosolar, model Tiger Neo 72HL4-BDV (glass-glass insulation), N-type monocrystalline, with a nominal power of 600 Wp.
- 8 inverters from the commercial brand HUAWEI, model SUN2000-330KTL-H1, with power limited to 300 kW and a nominal AC voltage of 800 V.
- Private surface transformation center, type PFU-77, from the commercial brand ormazabal, equipped with 2 transformer units of 1,250 kVA with natural ester insulation.
- Prefabricated General Protection and Measurement Center (CPGYM) type PFU-4 and delivery center type PFU-4.
- 20 kV interconnection and evacuation lines, third category, with AL RHZ1 3x1x150 mm² conductors.
The connection point will be established at support A104745, following its replacement and a boundary change maneuver, of the CERCADO_ES line, corresponding to the Arguineguín Substation.
Budget and Allegations Process
The material execution budget amounts to 2,009,408.79 euros. Interested parties may examine all technical and environmental documents of the project at the office of the General Directorate of Energy, on the 2nd floor of the Multi-Purpose Building III, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, by prior appointment, as well as through the electronic headquarters of the Government of the Canary Islands.
Allegations may be submitted within a period of thirty (30) days, counting from the day following the publication of the announcement, in accordance with the provisions of Decree 141/2009, of November 10. The announcement is signed by the Head of the Energy Technical Area, Alberto Miguel Blasco Lorenzo, by delegation of signature from the Director General of Energy (Resolution No. 462/2026, of March 20, 2026).
The initiative reinforces the deployment of renewable generation in the south of Gran Canaria and opens a key period of citizen participation so that residents and entities can learn about the project’s impact and submit allegations before the administrative authorization is resolved.
