Picamoixons opens grants for repairing dilapidated facades and for new ones

The EMD of Picamoixons has opened the call for individual grants for the repair of facades in poor condition and newly constructed facades, with the aim of promoting conservation, safety, and the improvement of the municipality’s urban image. The call is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Tarragona on September 2, 2026, with reference CVE 2026-08163 (pp. 1-9), and its extract is registered in the National Grants Database with the identifier BDNS 925603.

The regulatory bases and the call were approved by the entity’s Neighbors’ Board on November 13, 2025. The funding is charged to the budget application 78000/1522 of the Expenditure Budget, titled “Capital grants for the repair of facades,” and the grant covers a maximum of 50% of the cost of the works.

Who can apply for the grant and what it covers

Eligible beneficiaries may be natural or legal persons who own properties located within the boundaries of Picamoixons and can provide documentary evidence of the actions. The grant applies to the repair of facades of homes (new construction and/or rehabilitation) and warehouses in urban areas that directly face the public road, including party walls visible from the public road.

The maximum grantable amounts are calculated using the following modules:

• Painting work and materials: maximum €600
• Chipping and plastering work: maximum €1,200
• Tiling, chipping of existing plaster, and repointing of original stones or others technically suitable: maximum €1,800

Requirements and exclusions

Obtaining the grant is subject to the fulfillment of several conditions: the building must comply with legal use requirements and not be in a non-compliant planning situation, the works must have the corresponding administrative licenses or prior communication, and both the facade finish and the exterior woodwork and railings must have characteristics similar to the originals. The visual removal of existing wiring on the facade is positively valued.

Those who have an open urban planning disciplinary file regarding the property, debtors to the municipal treasury, or those who fall under any of the prohibitions of Article 13 of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Law on Grants, cannot be beneficiaries. Facades in a non-compliant planning situation, works involving the demolition of the facade, structural gutting, or general demolition of the property are excluded, as well as interventions that maintain air conditioning units, antennas, smoke vents, or awnings open to the public road that do not comply with planning regulations.

Deadlines and procedure

Applications shall be submitted to the General Registry of the EMD of Picamoixons or through the electronic office (picamoixons.altanet.org), using the standardized form. The submission period is 30 calendar days starting from the day after the publication of the call in the BOP and on the municipal notice board.

The documentation to be provided includes the NIF/DNI of the applicants, the description of the works with before and after photographs, the bank account ownership certificate, the invoice, the agreement of the community of owners, the license or prior communication of works, proof of payment, and a sworn statement of not being subject to prohibitions. The procedure is not processed under a competitive bidding regime: if applications exceed the financial availability, they will be attended to in order of submission to the general entry registry.

The grants will be resolved within a maximum period of two months from the end of the submission period, and the resolution will be published on the municipal notice board, the electronic office, and the transparency portal. The subsidized works must be executed within a maximum of six months from the notification of the grant, and the justification of the expense must be submitted within a maximum period of one month from the completion of the works, through original invoices and proof of payment, a “before and after” photographic report, and a technical certificate or final report. Exceptionally, rehabilitation and improvement works on facades executed during the year 2025 are also eligible for subsidies.

The aid is compatible with other subsidies, provided that the total amount of aid does not exceed the total cost of the action. This call represents a direct opportunity for the owners of Picamoixons to improve the condition and aesthetics of their buildings with financial support of up to half the cost, while contributing to the urban improvement and the image of the municipality of Alt Camp.
