Por FactBox Admin

The City Council of Peraleda de la Mata has announced grants of up to 10,849.28 euros for the payment of minimum vital utilities during 2026, according to the extract published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cáceres on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 (no. 0187, reference BOP-2026-4535). The call is approved by Mayoral Resolution 2026-0408, dated September 23, 2026, and is part of the Municipal Economic Collaboration Program of the Junta de Extremadura. Residents registered in the municipality who can prove they are in a situation of vulnerability may apply.
The announcement is an extract published in accordance with articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Law on Subsidies, and the full text can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database with the identifier 931614. The municipal call implements the Agreement of April 14, 2026, of the Governing Council of the Junta de Extremadura, which approves the Municipal Economic Collaboration Program for minimum vital utilities for 2026, made known via Resolution of April 21, 2026, by the Councilor for Health and Social Services (DOE no. 78, of April 24, 2026).
The total amount allocated for these subsidies amounts to 10,849.28 euros from the current municipal budget, charged to budget application 2026.231.48003. The amount will be distributed among applications that meet the requirements until the received allocation is exhausted.
Purpose of the grants and beneficiaries
The grants cover the payment of utilities considered minimum vital:
- Electric energy.
- Natural gas and propane gas.
- Drinking water.
- Connection and reconnection of supply in case of interruption due to non-payment.
- Butane gas.
Beneficiaries may be persons who are registered and legally and effectively reside in Peraleda de la Mata and who meet the requirements established in the fifth section of the Agreement of April 14, 2026, of the Governing Council of the Junta de Extremadura. The full regulatory bases can be consulted at the electronic office, the notice board of the City Council of Peraleda de la Mata, and the municipal website www.peraledadelamata.es.
Application period and justification
The application submission period will remain open until the budget allocation received by the City Council is exhausted and, in any case, during the 2026 fiscal year, starting from the day following the publication of the call in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cáceres. Applications shall adhere to the model provided by the City Council’s Social Services, which appears as Annex I of Resolution 2026-0408.
The applicant must justify the granted aid, prior to its payment, by providing the corresponding invoices, except in the case of butane gas. Regarding the supporting documents:
- Unpaid invoices may be paid regardless of their date of issue and the billing period to which they refer.
- Invoices already paid are only eligible for financing if they were issued in the last quarter of the previous year or in the current year.
Payment Method and Processing
Once a favorable resolution has been issued, payment will be made directly to the entity, public or private, supplying the electricity, natural gas, and/or drinking water. The exception is butane gas, which will be paid to the beneficiary upon presentation of the invoice accrediting the expense.
Depending on the amount of the invoices presented, payment may be a single lump sum or split, with periodic payments as the beneficiary provides the supporting documents until the granted amount is covered. In that case, it will not be necessary to request new aid: a responsible declaration of permanence without variation of the requirements will suffice, according to the model in Annex II of the resolution. The announcement is signed by the mayor-president, Julio César Martín García.
The call for applications reaches families in the municipality who have outstanding payments for electricity, gas, or water and who, without this coverage, face supply cuts. Direct payment to the companies and the possibility of paying overdue invoices without a time limit make the measure an immediate instrument to regularize the situation of the most vulnerable households in Peraleda de la Mata throughout 2026.
