Pedrafita do Cebreiro calls for a first-class driver officer in five days

The City Council of Pedrafita do Cebreiro announces the hiring of a first-class driver official as interim civil servant personnel, under the Provincial Council Cooperation Plan with Municipalities – Employment Reinforcement Program 2026 of the Provincial Council of Lugo. The announcement, signed by Mayor José Luis Raposo Magdalena on October 16, 2026, is published today in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lugo no. 242, corresponding to Thursday, October 22, 2026, with reference R. 2872. Applicants have only five business days to submit their application.

The Employment Reinforcement program is part of the Provincial Council Cooperation Plan with Municipalities 2026, whose regulatory bases were published in BOP no. 4, on January 7, 2026, and which finances the hiring or appointment of personnel in the province’s municipalities for the execution of works and minimum services of municipal competence. In the case of Pedrafita, the call limits the offer to a single position: a first-class driver official, under the status of interim civil servant.

This is not the first time the council has used this formula to fill the category. On September 4, 2026, it had already published a call for the expansion of the personnel pool through appointment as an interim civil servant, under the specific program modality, charged to the Humanization Plan II and for the same category of 1st-class driver official (BOP no. 206, of September 9, 2026, R. 2398), then also with a deadline of five business days and the same fax number to advance the applications.

Five business days and registration by fax

Applications shall be submitted to the General Registry of the City Council of Pedrafita do Cebreiro or by any of the means permitted by article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the common administrative procedure of public administrations. The deadline is five business days starting from the day following the publication of the announcement in the BOP, so that, according to the usual working calendar, it would end on Thursday, October 29.

The announcement introduces a precaution for those who choose to register the application outside the municipal registry: in that case, it will be necessary to advance it by fax to the number 982 367150 before the deadline expires, otherwise it will not be taken into account.

Competitive examination and bases on the electronic office

The selection system will be a competitive examination (concurso-oposición). The bases governing the process are available to interested parties on the notice board of the electronic office of the City Council of Pedrafita do Cebreiro, which is also the point of consultation for successive announcements of the call.

The text published in the BOP does not detail the syllabus, the evaluable merits, nor the duration of the appointment; these details refer to the bases set out on the municipal electronic board.

Budgetary modification in the same gazette

The call for applications coincides with the same BOP issue as the announcement of the plenary agreement of Pedrafita do Cebreiro, which initially approved the credit supplement file no. 4/SC/2026, budgetary modification no. 19/2026, adopted in an extraordinary session on October 15, 2026, and exposed to the public for fifteen days (R. 2856).

The call leaves a minimum window of five business days for a position that is resolved by competitive examination (concurso-oposición), therefore those interested in working at the town hall must prepare the documentation immediately and monitor the municipal electronic board to learn the full rules and the dates of the tests.
