Jaén Sports Board announces two administrative positions

The Municipal Sports Board of the Most Excellent City Council of Jaén has announced the permanent filling of two positions in the Administrative category, one via the open access system and another via internal promotion. The call is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Jaén, number 160, dated August 19, 2026, page 12829, with reference 2026/3971.
The decision stems from Resolution 2026/404-RPD of the Presidency of the Board, dated August 18, 2026, adopted by virtue of the powers conferred by the Mayor-Presidency Delegation Decree of February 21, 2025. The positions, vacant within the organization’s permanent civil service staff, are included in the 2024 Public Employment Offer.
Two access routes
The two positions are filled through different procedures, depending on the access system of each applicant:
- One position via open access, through a selection procedure of competitive examination (oposición).
- One position via internal promotion, through a selection procedure of competition-examination (concurso-oposición).
Both correspond to the General Administration Scale, Administrative Subscale, and are called in accordance with the rules approved by the organization.

Interested parties may consult the requirements, syllabus, and calendar of the selection process there.
Appeal deadlines
Against the rules and the call, the following may be filed alternatively:
- Optional Appeal for Reversal (Recurso Potestativo de Reposición), before the body that issued the act, within one month from the day following the publication in the BOP of Jaén, in accordance with articles 123 and 124 of Law 39/2015, of October 1.
- Contentious-Administrative Appeal, before the Contentious-Administrative Court of Jaén, within two months, in accordance with article 46 of Law 29/1998, of July 13.
If the appeal for reversal is chosen, the contentious-administrative appeal cannot be filed until the former is expressly resolved or is dismissed by administrative silence.
The call represents a new opportunity for stable public employment for the citizens of Jaén, both for those entering the public service for the first time and for the organization’s own staff seeking to consolidate their position. The publication in the official gazette opens the period for applicants to submit their applications and consult the rules of the process.
