Patrimonio Nacional awards four security positions by free appointment

The Undersecretariat of the Ministry of the Presidency, Justice and Relations with the Cortes has resolved the open appointment call to fill four security positions in the Board of Administration of National Heritage, according to the Resolution of August 17, 2026, published in the Official State Gazette number 205, of August 21, 2026. Of the four announced destinations, three have been awarded to officials from the Ministry of the Interior and one has remained vacant.

The resolution, with official reference BOE-A-2026-17995, responds to the call made by the Resolution of May 28, 2026 (BOE of June 8), which announced the filling of these positions through the open appointment procedure. The document is signed by the Manager of the Board of Administration of National Heritage, Ana María Robles González, exercising the delegation of signature of the Undersecretary (Order PJC/1062/2024, of October 3).

The awarded positions

The resolution details in its annex the four destinations, with their position code, level, and location, as well as the data of the awardees and their position of origin:

• Head of Security Section (code 4609378, level 24, Madrid): declared vacant.
• Security Assistant (code 3441659, level 20, Madrid): awarded to Iván López Muñoz, from the General Directorate of Police.
• Security Assistant (code 1003971, level 20, Tordesillas, Valladolid): awarded to Gonzalo Marín Tijeras, from the General Directorate of the Civil Guard.
• Security Operator (code 2276830, level 16, Segovia): awarded to Norberto García Vega, from the General Directorate of the Civil Guard.

Regulatory framework and procedure

The call was processed in accordance with article 20.1.c) of Law 30/1984, of August 2, on Measures for the Reform of the Public Service, and Title III, Chapter III of Royal Decree 364/1995, of March 10, which regulates the entry of personnel into the service of the General State Administration and the filling of job positions. The Undersecretariat certifies the observance of the procedure and compliance with the requirements demanded in the call.

The regime for taking possession of the awarded destinations shall be that established in article 48, to which article 57 refers, of the aforementioned General Regulation.

Appeals and deadlines

Against the resolution, which exhausts administrative remedies, a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed before the High Court of Justice of Madrid within two months of its publication, or, optionally and as a prior step, a request for reversal within one month before the same body that issued it, in accordance with articles 123 and 124 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure.

The filling of these positions reinforces the security staff of the royal sites and dependencies managed by the Board of Trustees of National Heritage in Madrid, Tordesillas, and Segovia, with officials coming from the Police and the Civil Guard. The position of head of the security section remains vacant; therefore, it is expected that the process to fill it will be resumed in a future call.
