The Plenary Session of the City Council of Pasarón de la Vera (Cáceres) has definitively approved the Municipal Action Plan against the risk of Forest Fires, a key instrument for prevention and emergency response in one of the highest-risk areas of the Vera region. The agreement, adopted unanimously, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cáceres number 173, dated September 10, 2026, with reference BOP-2026-4237.

The approval took place during an extraordinary session of the Plenary held on August 27, 2026, following a favorable report from the Permanent Commission for Civil Protection of the Autonomous Community of Extremadura. The agreement was supported unanimously by those present, representing the absolute majority of the members of the municipal Corporation.

A plan with technical and political backing

The document establishes the municipality’s framework for action against the risk of forest fires, integrating prevention, detection, and extinction measures coordinated with regional emergency services. Its definitive approval culminates an administrative procedure in which the Permanent Commission for Civil Protection of Extremadura issued a favorable report, ensuring the plan’s consistency with regional civil protection regulations.
