Por FactBox Admin

The Parada de Sil City Council opens the call for grants to support birth, adoption, and foster care for 2026, with an amount of €1,500.00 for each child born, adopted, fostered, or subject to a guardianship regime. The extract of the regulatory bases was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ourense on September 3, 2026, with the identifier BDNS 924607, and signed by the mayor, Aquilino Domínguez Díaz.

The measure, processed under a non-competitive concurrence regime, is aimed at families in the municipality and covers children from 0 to 3 years old from January 1, 2026. The call is based on Law 38/2003, of November 17, general law on subsidies, and Law 9/2007, of June 13, on subsidies in Galicia.

Beneficiaries and requirements

The grant may be requested by the parent of a child born, adopted, or fostered since January 1, 2026, as well as by the guardian when the guardianship is established from that date. In all cases, the following is required:

  • To be continuously registered (empadronado) in the City Council of Parada de Sil for at least one year prior to the birth, adoption, or fostering.
  • That the child is registered in the municipal census on the date the application is submitted.
  • To commit to maintaining the registration of the parent and the child for the two years following the granting of the aid.
  • To be up to date with tax and tributary obligations with the City Council, the State Tax Agency, and Social Security.

Each child entitles the applicant to a single grant. In the case of multiple births, the amount will be granted for each child individually.

Eligible expenses

Expenses directly linked to the care and well-being of the child will be eligible for subsidies, provided they are incurred after the date of birth, adoption, guardianship, or fostering:

  • Infant food products, milk, and diapers.
  • Clothing, footwear, cribs, strollers, and childcare items.
  • Medications or sanitary products not covered by Social Security.
  • Other expenses duly justified as necessary.

Deadlines and submission

Applications shall be submitted electronically through the City Council’s electronic office (paradadesil.sedelectronica.gal), using a recognized or qualified electronic certificate. Deadlines vary according to the case:

  • Beneficiaries of previous calls: until September 30, 2026.
  • Births, adoptions, or fosterings between 01.01.2026 and 30.11.2026: until December 15, 2026.
  • Births, adoptions, or fosterings between 01.12.2026 and 31.12.2026: until January 15, 2027.

Documentation includes the DNI, NIE, or passport, the registration certificate (certificación de empadroamento), the birth registration from the Civil Registry and, if applicable, the judicial or administrative resolution of adoption, guardianship, or fostering.

The aid represents direct support for the families of Parada de Sil at a time of particular economic strain, and reinforces municipal policies for population retention in a rural council.
