Pals definitively approves four charging points for electric vehicles

The Pals City Council has definitively approved the basic and executive project for the installation of four charging points for electric vehicles, with a contract execution budget of €231,868.35 (VAT included). The decision was adopted through Decree No. 804/2026, dated June 25, and was made public via an edict in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat de Catalunya (DOGC) No. 9736, dated August 24, 2026, with reference CVE-DOGC-A-26229008-2026.
The project, processed under file number 670/2026, was initially approved on June 25, 2026, and was submitted for public consultation for thirty business days. Once the exhibition period ended without any objections being filed, the City Council proceeded with the definitive approval, in accordance with article 38.2 of Decree 179/1995, of June 13, which approves the Regulations for works, activities, and services of local entities.
Processing and public exhibition
The Mayoral resolution was published on June 30, 2026, in the Official Gazette of the Province of Girona (BOPG) No. 123 and in the DOGC No. 9696, as well as on the Transparency Portal and the electronic notice board of the Pals City Council. The public exhibition period began on July 1, 2026, and ended on August 12, 2026.
During this period, the administrative file could be consulted during office hours, Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., excluding holidays, and relevant objections could be filed. As none were submitted, the project was definitively approved.

Appeals and closure
Against this resolution, which ends the administrative route, an optional appeal for reversal may be filed with the City Council within one month, or alternatively, a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed before the Contentious-Administrative Court of Girona within two months, in accordance with Law 39/2015 and Law 29/1998. The edict, signed by Mayor Carles Pi Renart in Pals on August 14, 2026, gives the green light to an infrastructure that reinforces the charging network of Baix Empordà and facilitates the transition toward cleaner mobility for residents and visitors.
