Palencia declares the bankruptcy of Hierros y Metálicas Palentinas and opens its liquidation

The Civil and Instruction Section of the Court of First Instance of Palencia (Plaza nº 1) has declared the voluntary bankruptcy of Hierros y Metálicas Palentinas, S.L.U., with CIF 834263541, and has agreed to the opening of the liquidation phase, with the suspension of its administration and disposal powers. The resolution was issued on September 18, 2026, by Judge Carmen Hernanz Sánchez and is published in the Official Gazette of the Mercantile Registry (BORME) no. 203, of October 21, 2026, with the official reference BORME-A-2026-203-34 (page 49245).

The announcement is registered in the First Section of the BORME, dedicated to acts registered in the Mercantile Registry, within the jurisdiction of Palencia, under entry number 468386. The bankruptcy proceeding is identified by number 555/2026 and the resolution is published with the indication that it is not final.

Voluntary bankruptcy due to proven insolvency

The court order declares the company in bankruptcy “since its current state of insolvency has been proven,” according to the text sent to the registry. The classification is voluntary bankruptcy, meaning it was promoted by the debtor itself, and entails the suspension of the administration and disposal powers of the bankrupt party, which pass into the hands of the bankruptcy administration.

The court further agreed that the bankruptcy administration shall act “under the provisions of articles 57 and following,” according to the literal wording of the published announcement.

Dissolution and removal of administrators

In the same resolution, the liquidation phase is opened and the accompanying corporate effects are adopted:

• The dissolution of Hierros y Metálicas Palentinas, S.L.U. is declared.
• The removal of the administrators or liquidators is agreed upon, who are replaced “for all purposes” by the bankruptcy administration.
• The change of registered name is recorded, which shall now appear as “Hierros y Metálicas Palentinas, S.L. in liquidation”.
• The removal of the sole administrator, Francisco Javier Rodríguez Blanco, is noted.

Appointment of the bankruptcy administration

The court has appointed Miguel Hermosa Espeso, with NIF 12771988L, as bankruptcy administrator, with a resolution date of September 18, 2026. The appointment is registered along with the other bankruptcy resolutions and with the note regarding the intervention or suspension of the bankrupt party’s powers.

Registry history of the company

The company is registered in the Mercantile Registry of Palencia, volume 461, folio 162, page P-6986, and the entry made in the Book of Companies (entry I/A A) is dated October 15, 2026. Its registration history includes two changes of registered office: the move to Francia 28, plot 79, Palencia, registered in the BORME on May 25, 2016, and the subsequent move to Vizcaya 4, in the same capital, registered in the BORME on March 12, 2021.

The publication of this announcement closes the path of corporate continuity and formally opens the liquidation: from now on, the insolvency administration is responsible for the management and the realization of the company’s assets. For the creditors of the metallurgical company, the BORME establishes the official framework within which they must contact the appointed insolvency administrator, while the workforce and local suppliers of the metal industry in Palencia face the scenario of the company’s extinction once the liquidation phase is completed.
