Palafrugell approves 32 kWp photovoltaics at the Tomanyí Children's Home
Por FactBox Admin

The Local Government Board of the Palafrugell City Council has definitively approved the executive project for a 32 kWp self-consumption photovoltaic installation at the Tomanyí Children’s Home, with a total amount of €48,019.26, including 21% VAT. The agreement was adopted at the session on August 27, 2026, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Girona no. 180, dated September 18, 2026, with the official reference BOP-2026_0_180_8007 (edict no. 8007, p. 1).
The project was drafted by engineer Samir Hlal Boutir, registered C.E.T.I.G:26.819. The edict supports the processing under articles 37 and 38 of the Regulations for works, activities, and services of Local Entities (Decree 179/1995), regarding the processing of local works projects, and article 235 of the Municipal and Local Regime Law of Catalonia (Recast text, Legislative Decree 2/2003), regarding the documentation that these projects must contain.
The approval for Tomanyí does not come alone: the same BOP publishes, with the reference BOP-2026_0_180_8008, the definitive approval of the 25 kWp self-consumption photovoltaic project at Can Genís, for €47,152.39 including VAT. Both files share the same decision-making body, drafting engineer, and session date, totaling a joint municipal investment of €95,171.65 in electrical self-consumption.

The second orders the publication of an edict in the BOP and the DOGC for general knowledge, its placement on the City Council’s edict board, and its insertion on the municipal website. The third orders the notification of the agreement to the technical drafter of the project and its communication to the following municipal areas:
- Urban Planning
- Municipal Services
- Procurement and Heritage
- Legal Services
The edict specifies that the publication is made once the second point of the definitive approval agreement has been fulfilled.
Consultation of the file
The file remains available to interested parties at the offices of the Environment Area of the City Council, at Cervantes Street no. 16, Palafrugell, from 9 am to 1 pm, Monday to Friday. It can also be consulted on the municipal website, www.palafrugell.cat. The edict was signed by Mayor Laura Millán Morales on 09/08/2026.
The photovoltaic installation at the Tomanyí Nursery School places the energy efficiency of municipal facilities as an active line of investment in Palafrugell: it involves self-consumption in a public early childhood care service, with a fixed cost and a project already definitively approved, so that residents can consult its scope and amount before the works begin.
